Today on The Mikey Show…

~ Ralph Rubio the owner/creator of Rubio's came into the studio to make Sky and B. Rob a Rubio's Fish taco today. He told us the story of how Rubio's was started. While Ralph went to SDSU he and his buddy would take trips down to Baja and to San Felipe and drink coronas and get fish tacos. He got the beer batter recipe from the owner of the taco shop down there and kept it in his wallet. He said no one at the time was selling fish tacos up in San Diego. He worked in restaurants and finished up school then in 1983 started Rubio's as a regular taco shop with his father that made those delicious fish tacos. He still uses that same recipe and has well over 100 restraints now.  Sky and B. Rob hate fish but said they would try it if Ralph Rubio himself came in and made them a Rubio's Fish taco. They both tried it and were astonished that they liked it. They both said that it is not fishy at all and would even eat it again. This was so huge for Sky because she is like a little child when it comes to eating food and is wicked picky.

~ Jet Li called into the show today. I did not really understand too much from the interview because his English was severely broken but I will give you what I did take from it and you can go to the website to listen to it up on the pod cast and try to decipher what he said yourself. His new movie Fearless is about a true story about a philosopher/ martial artist. This will be his last action movie or what he called ooshu. He has done martial arts for 35 years and acting for 26 and he is Chinese. Good luck.

~ We played Low I.Q. haiku today. It was a true test of wits today when one of Ashlee's words was the product she endorses "Resurrect". She understood the jist of the word because she talks about it all the time but did not actually know the meaning. It was brilliant and hilarious.

~ P-1 Karen came into the studio today to hang out and watch The Mikey Show in action. She is a friend of Eddie's and had been through some tough times that she told us about. She recently went through dealing with breast cancer and the chemo. She told us about chemo
