Mikey Show Recap Friday Sept. 29, 2006

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ Paula Deen from the Food Network called into the show today. Her and Mikey had something in common, she is originally from Albany Georgia and Mikey briefly lived there. Mikey is a big fan of her show and said that the one episode that really stands out to him is the one where Paula openly flirted with former President Carter. She told us that the one meal she would make to impress and that is a favorite among her family and friends is Oxtail.

~ Ashlee put her baking skill to the test today in the bake off taste test. Ashlee made brownies from scratch and to get a gauge we had Shauna make brownies from scratch as well and had Russell's wife make brownies from a box. Shauna told us that she ended up having a bottle or 2 of wine with her girlfriend while she made the brownies and it was apparent because her brownies were the worst. Ashlee came in a close second place only missing first place by a point to the generic box brownies. The brownie taste test was judges by Russell, Gina and Elisabeth Hession from sales and Mr. B Dub from the Chargers Broadcast Network. Ashlee's brownies were a little too much like fudge then brownies, Mikey pointed out after he tried them and Eddie now has legit confirmation that he is no fan of Ashlee's baking.

~ Mikey talked about an email that he got from a P-1 who we had on the line to further discuss his situation. The email said that P-1 T money celebrated his one year anniversary with his wife and she got him nothing. He explained that he joked with her about getting her nothing but ended up getting her something, a necklace and bracelet. He said the day came and passed and he got nothing from her and when he asked her about it she told him he was not getting anything. While discussing it and how each person on the show would handle it, we got into how Sky deals with things passive aggressively and how Eddie can deal with people like that but for Mikey its his hot button when people do the passive aggressive thing.
