Mikey Show Recap Wed. November 29, 2006

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ Tracey Morgan "Craig Gass" called into the show first thing this morning to talk about his DUI charges. Tracey needed to be filled in on the entire story then once we mentioned this DUI might screw up his things on 30 Rock he started promoting the show and was not even phased by the story. He then told us that he had been drinking heavily because he had just found out Kramer is a racist and he was really broken up over it.

~ We played "Who can Big Tuna a.k.a Sean Beat Now?". Big Tuna killed the competition today and went undefeated which was a big improvement from last week. He didn't hesitate when it came to songs like Got to have Faith by George Michael, or when David Bowie or the Talking Heads were played.

~ Mikey broke another heart with today's Cheaters Hotel. P-1 Adam was trying to figure out if his lady was cheating. He explained that he had been seeing her for about 9 months or less then a year (he was not really sure) and that he knew she was a cheater from a previous relationship. When Mikey did his hotel rap to the girlfriend she said a guys name from work who Adam assumed she was cheating with. Then she had the balls to try and turn the whole situation around on Adam and say he was the reason for her cheating. It was freaking crazy.

~ Dr. Phil made another appearance on the show toady. Mikey got an email from a P-1 who really had trouble dealing with his lady's family around the holidays especially at there family Christmas party where they all sing and open all the presents at midnight. Dr. Phil came in and shared some advice that his uncle Kid Rock had given to him telling him to divorce the chick.

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ Tyrone and Tortilla made an appearance on the show today. They had on this lady who wanted to talk about having non-traditional holidays. She was against any normal celebration of holidays and wanted to promote doing anything but holiday things for the holidays. T and T turned her into an extreme holiday racist, saying that they heard her say she wished for Rudolph the white hooded reindeer and that Cinco De Mayo was not a real holiday because it involved Mexicans.

~ We had a bunch of really straight guys play Puss Rock Juke Box today. The guys today could not get any of the lyrics correct but they did well in the effort category. One guy made up some lyrics that were very legit about Sky and her views on Christmas and holiday music.

~ Jason Mewes from Clerks and Clerks 2 called into the show today. The roles he has played in the past depicted him as he was in real life, extremely funny and very much into drugs. He now is sober and has been sober for 4 years this coming April. He told us that making the change has been good but has been tough for him. 

~ Women should shave their legs even if its winter. Sky revealed to us today that its been a little while since she has done a little maintenance to the hair on her leg area. She explained that because its winter time and she wears pants almost everyday there is no need for her to shave everyday. Ashlee told us that she shaves daily and we took calls from P-1's that were either disgusted with the notion of not shaving daily or we all for it in the winter.

Mikey Show Recap Monday November 27, 2006

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ Shawne Merriman, our Monday morning correspondent for the Chargers called into the show today. He makes his triumphant return to the field next week for the Buffalo game. The other day when we talked to him he told us he was enjoying egg nog and pizza while watching the Chargers game. A P-1 that had heard that had went to Shawne's house during the Chargers game yesterday and dropped off a carton of eggnog and a pizza. Also, Josh Lewin was in studio for a little while today while we talked to Shawne. Josh sounded really worn out, he told us that its from busting a gonad every time the Chargers have scored this season and that he will have recovered by later in the day.

~ Jimmie Johnson called into the show today. Jimmie talked to us about winning the Nextel cup. He explained that the trophy itself is about 30 to 40 pounds and is solid silver. He said that he gets to keep the trophy once it is done being brought around to all the appearances he is making with it. He told us that he said the movie Talladega Nights was only okay and that he thought there were some different directions they could of gone with the movie.

~ We played P-1 Balderdash today. In today's game we learned that there is a law in Utah that says you cannot marry your cousin until you are over the age of 50. We found out that a Boomsling is not a type of woman's underwear but its actually a African tree snake and that the name Spud Melvin is the guy who invented the hula hoop.

~ We heard everybody's crazy Thanksgiving stories. B. Rob told us about cooking the entire meal for the first time on his own and how he thawed the turkey by leaving it out on the counter for 2 days until Mikey told him that was not sanitary so then B. Rob put it back in the fridge. Eddie told us a new tradition his mother was trying to start where everyone gets a tea light candle at the table and lights it as they say what they are most thankful for. Sky told us about a drunk guy that came over to take family pictures and ended up making the one black guy at the house very uncomfortable. Ashlee said she almost flooded her mothers house.

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ Shawne Merriman called into the show today. He told us that his favorite thing to eat on Thanksgiving is his Grandmothers yams and that he is back in Baltimore right now for the holiday. We found out that his favorite gifts during the holidays are the hand made ones from his 9 year old sister. Shawne also told us that his average workout runs about two and a half hours.

~ Wilmer Valderamma called into the show today. He is quite the gentleman. He told us that his background is Venezuelan and Columbian. He has a movie out called Fast Food Nation and he also told us that he is going to play Ponch in the CHIP's movie. When Mikey tried to talk about Lindsey Lohan with him he told us that they keep in touch but he does not keep up with everything that is going on with her and he was very respectful of her and the relationship that they once had.

~ Bobby Flay called into the show, which surprised us and Mikey was in hog heaven when he called. Bobby talked to us about Thanksgiving recipes and to tell us about the contest that is going on. When Mikey told him about the stuff that went down with Emril and Rachael Ray, you could tell it made him a little uncomfortable as he just said they are both wonderful people they went directly into promoting the contest again.

~ Ashlee paid off her bet from the 28 hour show today. She lost in pop culture trivia so she had to dress as a baby and suck her thumb while B. Rob pulled her around in a little red wagon. The outfit was ridiculous, it had a huge bonnet and a diaper that looked like a saggy depends. She did it in one of the busiest intersections in Clairemont, at Balboa and Genesee. The P-1 army was out in full effect and made it especially embarrassing for her.

~ B. Rob debuted his Thanksgiving song for everyone today. He did a parody to Adam Sandlers Thanksgiving song about The Mikey Show. It referenced Mel Gibson's drunken anti-Semitic tirade and made a lot of Sky/ham references.

~ Big Ups and much Respect to Clint for filling in while our boy Eddie was out.

Mikey Show Recap Tuesday November 21, 2006

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ We revealed the P-1 parody winner today. P-1's submit their best parody ideas with the lyrics and what song they have wrote it to and we pick and winner, create the song and play it on air. The first winner ever did a parody to the song Whip It by Devo and wrote it about Sky whipping Ramsey. Some of the lyrics are "he pleads stop it. It doesn't help". It also involves Costco and honey baked ham which I believed to be hilarious.

~ We had the Mikey Show Turkey Toss today. We held a food drive slash turkey toss this morning. P-1 guys and ladies came down and dropped off a canned good and got to toss a turkey. The farthest toss for each gender won a huge prize pack. P-1 Birdman, a hall of famer, won it for the guys and P-1 Marti won it for the ladies and actually tossed it farther than all the guys as well. During the event, Ashlee came back outside to the broadcast from being in the studio on tripped over Sky's microphone cord. She did a full on face plant, it was wicked hilarious once we knew she was okay of course.

~ We played some Puss Rock Juke Box today. Today on Puss Rock we got to hear grown ass men sing some really gay songs. They belted out some Wilson Phillips Hold On, Hands on Heaven by Breathe, and Mr. Mister Broken Wings.

~ Remember the fight between Eddie and Sky yesterday, it got real uncomfortable because Sky thought Eddie was serious about breaking her balls when she makes mistakes during the news. Ashlee apparently played both sides of the field during that fight. We found out today that right after the fight, Ashlee was IM-in Sky to tell her she completely understood her side of the argument and that she totally had her back. Then she had a full length conversation with Eddie about how she sided with him and for Sky to "come on" with her thinking that Eddie was serious and Sky needs to go to classes. Mikey tried singing to make everyone comfortable but that didn't work.

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ We spoke with Peter who is the Vice President of Marketing for the Play Station 3. He told us that he has two boys that are 13 and 10 and that they have become the most popular kids in town with the upcoming release of the PS3. He told us about the PS3 and how it has WiFi along with a blue ray disc player in it. When asked about the shortage of the PS3's he told us that they plan to have a million available in the U.S. by Christmas.

~ Boston Rob went down to Best Buy in Mission Valley this morning to find out a little more about the people that are waiting in line for the PS3. B told everyone that there were over 50 people in line and that Best Buy only had 34 PS3's in stock. Mikey got to talk to the very first guy in line who had been out there for 3 days now and then talked to one of the last people in line who had already waited a day at target but left once he found out they only had 6 in stock.

~ We played some Wally World today. The other day on the show we talked to Wally who came down to talk to someone on air about his show tonight and get some more promotion for the return of his band Wally World. Today we got the privilege of hearing Wally World.

~ We played a new game today called Ashlee Pyramid. This is same as the television show but we get to hear Ashlee try and describe the topics like one today "sports that do not use a ball". We tried having the P-1's play with Ashlee but between B. Rob screwing everything up with the phones and the callers not being able to get the topics, we had Sky give it a try. Sky nailed it and we now will have Sky play for a P-1. It is the pod cast for today in case you missed it.

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ Eddie graced the city once again with his Tough Love. He helped brutally heal a guy who wrote in complaining on people in the U.S.A. that do not understand or speak English very well. He also dished out some more Tough Love to a chick who just found out her man has a very hairy back and chest. Finally Eddie let a male anorexic know what's up.

~ We played a little bit of Tone Deaf Karaoke today. Today we heard Ashlee butcher an Alanis Morrisette song, a song by Santana and Rob Thomas, and then quite possible the funniest rendition ever of an Eminem song.

~ We did another compelling Mikey Show Questionnaire. This just gets better every time we do it. Today we found out that Eddie, B. Rob and Sean all would of hung out with Ashlee in high school but weirdly enough Mikey would have hung out with Sky. We also learned that Mikey would be the one that everyone wants to speak at their funeral and that Eddie was very popular among the people on the show if anyone ever needed an organ.

~ We all came up with theories for The Office's love triangle that is about to begin on tonight's episode. Mikey thinks that Pam will back off of Jim once she befriends the new girl and finds out that the new girl digs Jim. We all kind of agreed on that but Sky is very insistent that Pam is going to go after Jim and nothing is going to stop her this time (before she was engaged and could not act upon the feelings she really has for him.

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ We played Who Can Sean Beat Now?. Today his fan base and support team "chill town", which consists of Ashlee and Eddie, really got to him. Chill town actually does the opposite of what they set out to do and they deflate Sean and his hope to win, which he did lose one today where he thought the group was Berlin when it was actually Kim Wilde.

~ Something very strange happened at the end of the show toady. We got a call on a line that had never rang before and it was the receptionist out front with a old dude looking for Shannon Leder. He was trying to give Shannon, who has not worked here in ages, a bottle of wine to get some promotion for his band that was playing this weekend. His name is Wally and his band is Wally World. He had no music with him but we got a copy of his flier and it is up on the website in the photo gallery section, you have to check it out.

~ Mikey, Eddie and Sky talked about regrets that they have had within their life. Mikey told us that he regrets a lot of things he did before he was born again. Eddie explained that he regrets nothing because everything he has done has made him who he is today. Sky started to tell us about a boyfriend she has who was a loser and she wasted time with, when the guys started cracking on her about regretting the overalls she was wearing today, then she left the studio.

~ We talked about O.J. Simpson's new book and television show about if he had done the murders, this is how he would of done it. Mikey found this outrageous and so did the rest of the crew. Mikey came to the conclusion that O.J. is not right in the head and probably has something seriously wrong mentally to be able to confess to (hypothetically) the murders. WE also listened to audio from the Today show.

~ Mikey bought a double disc of songs from the early 1990's and 1980's that he could not stop playing all morning. Eddie, Sean, Sky and Ashlee were all in on them. It was from groups like Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam with that smash hit "I wonder if I take you home" and that kind of horrible music. Another artist was Stevie B. and everyone jammed out to it but Mikey and I could not get into it.

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ Brandon Vera our boy and UFC heavy weight fighter, came into the studio today. We found out that he enjoys frosted flakes for cereal and that his favorite superhero is the Incredible Hulk. Brandon has a big fight coming up this Saturday against Frank Muir. He told us that for this fight he has trained a little bit harder on cardio to try and get the edge. If he wins this fight he has a shot at the heavy weight title and could maybe some day soon be the Heavy Weight Champion.

~ We played some Puss Rock Juke Box today. This was the greatest batch of gay guys since the fab five hit the scene. These guys sang more gay than Michael Bolton himself. We had quite the number of silly little clay mate's winning today and  they sounded gaytastic, Eddie thought we had a direct line to Hillcrest today and I think he might have been correct.

~ We made mention of the P-1 lunch that is coming up this Thursday. Any P-1's can come down, it will be at McGregor's this Thursday November 16, starting at 11 in the am. P-1's can also register online at the Mikey Show website to win a free lunch with us on Thursday.

~ We announced P-1 Parody challenge today. We want P-1's to write in with their best parody song idea's about anything they want. There will be a section on the website where they can write in and give us there lyrics and if we produce and play their parody song they win a free Tivo.

Mikey Show Recap Monday November 6, 2006

Today on The MIkey Show...

 

~ We talked to Jerome "The Bus" Bettis today. This interview was different from your average interview where the person is at home or somewherre sitting down ready to talk. Jerome was going through security at LaGuardia airport. At one point during the interview he had to go throught the metal detectors, so he had to put his phone down and we got to go throught the x-ray machine (which we noticed his phone had great reception). Jerome told us that he helped design the Steelers Superbowl ring. He also said that when he enters the hall of fame he will go as a Steeler.

 

~ Shawne Merriman called into the show today. Shawne told us that during his suspension he is not allowed to attend the games but he did call the guys before the game. He told us that his favorite television show is Law and Order and that he could watch a marathon of that no problem. We also found out that while watching the game yesterday he was eating pepperonni pizza and drinking egg nog.

 

~ Eddie had his television debut last night. I was supposed to record the episode that Eddie was in but I misunderstood what show he was going to be on and did not record the audio. I am ashamed and sad that I let my boy down. Hopefully, we will have the audio soon.

 

~ We played some P-1 Balderdash today. In today's game we found otu that the name Stevelynn Junkland Morris is actually Stevie Wonder's real name and not Clint's real name like Sean had wrote. Also, Stevelynn was not the first guy to get the mullet haircut back in the 80's which Eddie had written.

Mikey Show Recap Friday November 3, 2006

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ B. Rob gave everyone a display of his acting skills. B. Rob goes to Hollywood. B. Rob acted (tried to act) out scenes from the movie The Birdcage, The Princess Bride, and Sling Blade. Mikey did not think B. Rob was a gaying it up enough for The Birdcage and then Eddie thought B was doing a Borat imitation in The Princess Bride. Then I just sucked when trying to do Sling Blade.

~ Antonio Gates called into the show today. Antonio talked to us about his fiancé's new venture. She is a former fashion model (in Borat voice - Very Nice) and has an extensive background in fashion. Her and Antonio and starting up a high end clothing store in La Jolla and the grand opening is this Saturday. Antonio told us that he had some influence on the guys clothes that will be sold there and the clothes are a classy casual style, something you can wear out on Friday night or just to chill in.

~ We announced both movie that we will be watching on the 28 hour show. After we watch Lost, we will start the first movie Star Trek 2 : The Wrath of Kahn. This is Sean's favorite Star Trek movie and was very excited when he heard this would be the first movie. For the second movie we will be watching The Wizard of Oz.

~ A P-1 wrote us trivia question to do a P-1 trivia challenge on the 28 hour show. What this P-1 came up with was incredible. He came up with over 200 questions about stuff that we might of mentioned maybe once on the show. We had some of the hall of famer P-1's call in to see how they did on the trivia then they asked me. I went 2 for 4 and everyone was ashamed of me.

~ We had Sky's mom on the phone today. Mikey called Sky's mom to ask why she thinks its appropriate for Sky to stand on street corners with her and hold signs up when Sky is a semi-celebrity. We found out that Sky's mom will be on a street corner to promote the mayor of San Marcos. Sky's mom answer to it was to have Sky in a duck costume to conceal her identity. More fun with Sky, Mikey did a little Mrs. Sky today and had play time with Ramsey. This is where Mrs. Sky reads Ramsey children's stories. Today Mrs. Sky read  Ramsey a children's book on who likes ham.

~ We found out a little more about the case of the missing camera but then we were told not to talk about it on air, so that is all I am writing about it.

I apologize for our friend, Rob.  I know he means well.  But sometimes, things slip his mind in between smoke breaks.  (It takes him 3 hours to type this report up)

He forgot the biggest thing on the show today.  We got into it about John Kerry's comments about the military.  Mikey and myself were offended and went off on him.  Sky defended the comments and went as far as to say she understood where Kerry was coming from.  That the military recruits the underprivileged and uneducated.  This sent the phones into a tizzy.  We even got a call from a P1 that said she would never date a man in the military because they are all dumb.  Gas on the fire.  Sky distanced herself from those comments.  Any way you slice it, it was a barn burner today.  B-Rob was busy though on his Myspace account and missed the whole thing.

Today on The Mikey Show…

Our boy Eddie will have his television debut this Sunday night after the Chargers game. He will be on Football Night in San Diego with Jim Laslavic. He will also be guest staring on the 11 o'clock sports on NBC 39.

~ Ashlee got into it with Trevor the engineer yesterday over her camera and we tried to get to the bottom of it today. Mikey heard that Ashlee was harassing a engineer and we found out that it was all about her lost camera. She said that he was being smug (but not in those words, I don't thinks she knows what smug means) and laughed in her face when she asked him about it. She was very upset that he was not sensitive about her situation but Mikey explained to her that he did not and should not have to be.

~ Sky does not believe in circumcisions, well, she believes in them but is against them. Mikey was reading a news story about a girl getting circumcised when the master debater and left wing extremist Sky had to chime in about how she is anti-circumcision and thinks it is un-necessary. Mikey tried telling her that circumcising can help prevent infections but she was not having it. The argued for a while about it.

~ Mindy Kaling who plays Kelly Kapor on The Office called into the show today. She told us that she is two thirds of a triple threat because not only is she an actress on the show but she also is a writer. She gave us a little tid bit about tonight's episode and that because they had already done a Halloween episode so the show tonight is going to go to a Hindu festival. She told us her favorite character to write for is Krede, which she told us that everyone loves to write for his part. She said her one idea that keeps getting shot down is a disgruntle office cleaning crew that comes in at night and messes with Michael Scotts things.

~ P-1 Paparrazzi has the inside line to the studio. Mikey got an email from P-1 Paparazzi asking about the 28 hour show, wondering if Sean would be in studio and if paparazzi could come down and bring his home made guacamole. Mikey said yes without reading the latter part of the email. Mikey told us on air that he accidentally told paparazzi he could come in, we were all kind of indifferent but more leaning towards the "not so much fun side". The Mikey went on to tell us that in the email paparazzi said he would call on the inside line and gave the number in it. We figured out that Blunder had given him a prize and he wrote down the wrong information so called him back on the hot line, now paparazzi has the number.

Mikey was reading a news story about a girl getting circumcised when the master debater and left wing extremist Sky had to chime in about how she is anti-circumcision and thinks it is un-necessary. Mikey tried telling her that circumcising can help prevent infections but she was not having it. The argued for a while about it.

~ Mindy Kaling who plays Kelly Kapor on The Office called into the show today. She told us that she is two thirds of a triple threat because not only is she an actress on the show but she also is a writer. She gave us a little tid bit about tonight's episode and that because they had already done a Halloween episode so the show tonight is going to go to a Hindu festival. She told us her favorite character to write for is Krede, which she told us that everyone loves to write for his part. She said her one idea that keeps getting shot down is a disgruntle office cleaning crew that comes in at night and messes with Michael Scotts things.

~ P-1 Paparrazzi has the inside line to the studio. Mikey got an email from P-1 Paparazzi asking about the 28 hour show, wondering if Sean would be in studio and if paparazzi could come down and bring his home made guacamole. Mikey said yes without reading the latter part of the email. Mikey told us on air that he accidentally told paparazzi he could come in, we were all kind of indifferent but more leaning towards the "not so much fun side". The Mikey went on to tell us that in the email paparazzi said he would call on the inside line and gave the number in it. We figured out that Blunder had given him a prize and he wrote down the wrong information so called him back on the hot line, now paparazzi has the number.

Today on The Mikey Show…

Our boy Eddie will have his television debut this Sunday night after the Chargers game. He will be on Football Night in San Diego with Jim Laslavic. He will also be guest staring on the 11 o'clock sports on NBC 39.

~ Ashlee got into it with Trevor the engineer yesterday over her camera and we tried to get to the bottom of it today. Mikey heard that Ashlee was harassing a engineer and we found out that it was all about her lost camera. She said that he was being smug (but not in those words, I don't thinks she knows what smug means) and laughed in her face when she asked him about it. She was very upset that he was not sensitive about her situation but Mikey explained to her that he did not and should not have to be.

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ Today Mikey and Eddie premiered the Hank and Tank show. It is a spin off of Tyrone and Tortilla but instead of turning the interviewee into a racist they make them out to be gay. Today they interviewed a "Do It Yourself" guy who was all about doing any mechanical thing for car in your own garage. We took calls after to find out what the P-1's thought about the segment and they thought that it could use some improvement but the idea was fantastic.

~ P-1 Mike called into the show during open phones today to ask us whether he is in the wrong or not. He told us that he is 41 and dating this 39 year old lady. He said she has a 18 year old daughter who is about to turn 19 and that she is a very beautiful girl. He said that he really noticed how hot she is last night when she was dressed up in her sexy cat costume. He was wondering if he was wrong for thinking that. Mikey and Eddie both agreed that he is not wrong and that as long as he does not act upon it then it is fine. Mikey added that he should try to remove himself from the situation if he feels he should.

~ B. Rob premiered his new song today called Serengeti Child. It is a parody of Madonna's song Material Girl and is about how all the big celebrities these days are adopting African children. B. Rob gives a shout out to Sky in the song for starting this trend (of course she started it when she got Ramsey).

~ We played Mikey's Gay Pod today. Mikey almost convinced us that he was hetero today when we heard some P.O.D then Staind, then everything became gay when the next song was by Michelle Branch followed by Duran Duran's Wild Boys only to be followed by Ryan Cabrera.
