Mikey Show Recap Thursday May 31, 2007

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ It is Mikey's birthday and he reminisced about how his mother always though that he was born on May 30th but finally found his birth certificate and realized that his actual birthday is on May 31st.

~ Sky was wondering if she could attend Eddie's bachelor party. She said she wanted to go to take advantage of her and her man paying for the hotel room and that she would take the weekend to pamper herself by going to spas and what not. She claimed that she would stay far away from all of the guys and that we would never even see her but we all knew that it would still be a thought into the back of our minds that she was in town. A few P-1 beatings called in to say Sky should be able to go and thought that the guys had something to hide which could not be farther from the truth. B. Dub called in to help explain that this is Eddie's weekend and its his last time single with the fellas.

~ We played Tone Deaf Karaoke today. There were no winners today. Mikey would only play each song today once because they were so hard to listen to. We heard a Heart song, Guns N Roses' Patience, and Blind Melon's No Rain.

~ We discussed topics which each person from the show would be on Oprah for. If we had a segment on Oprahs show what part of our personality would be showcased. Mikey said at one point of his life it would have been his debilitating guilt, Eddie said that he would be on for his strange whale phobia, Sky said some feminist thing but we told her is would be for hypocrisy (example: fighting for women's rights but going home from work for cramps), Ashlee said she would go on to talk about rehab and B. Rob said he would talk about the effects of suicide in the family.

Tomorrow on The Mikey Show… The final boardroom on The Mikey Show Apprentice, someone gets fired and someone gets a job here at the radio station.

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ We played Google Master Challenge. P-1's tried to take on Sky is her googling abilities. No one really could compete with her except for one guy who was not even at a computer and was just answering the questions by sheer knowledge which was pretty impressive. Some of the questions in the google challenge were "how fast can n Orca swim, what mammal can not jump, and what is Pesky's Pole".

~ We played P-1 Trivia today. We had P-1 Vapour competing for the guys and P-1 Krissy going for the ladies. Krissy surprised us and pulled out with the win. We asked the P-1's "who our agent is, what was Ashlee's pet name for Serio, and to quote Mr. Big Brad Crush-it".

~ Craig Gass called into the show today to talk about the Comedy show coming up. Craig will be in the line up for Rock 1053's That's What She Said Comedy show along with Sarah Silverman and Zach Z. Craig told us that he had never really worked with either of the comics but was really excited to. He also talked to us about the show he will be on tonight called Next Best Thing which airs at 8 on NBC. This show is a contest to find the best celebrity impersonator.

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ We reviewed the Apprentice's and this weeks challenge. It was a viral challenge of who could get The Mikey Show attention by making something on the web, whether it be a video on youtube or something of that sort. Mikey really had a lot to say about all three videos and most of it was not positive. He reviewed Zeth's first which out of all three he said was the best. Zeth used the audio of The Mikey Show breaking down the lyrics to a Nickelback song and put in different pictures to go along with it. It was a good way to market the show using the show and was fitting to youtube. The second video was Jess' Britney Spears' video. She dressed like Britney and danced around in a very non-sexy fashion. We all agreed that it was bad but not as horrible as Holly's video. Holly song her own parody song over a Nickelback song while there was a chick hobo and hooker in the video. No one could really make sense of it and even Holly really could not explain it in a way we could understand. Holly was fired right away without even going into a boardroom. ~ Mikey gave the two Apprentice contestants left, Jess and Zeth (former lovahs), their final challenge. They will be doing an air shift. He explained that the person that try's to be funny and is not natural and being themselves will most likely lose this challenge. They will be on air after The Best Of The Mikey Show on Monday. Zeth will be on from 10 to noon and Jess will be on from noon to 2.

~ We played Ashlee Pyramid today. This is the game where Sky exhibits her ability to speak Ashlee. Today they nailed it in the first game where they had to guess at categories like "things found at comicon, things in a dentists office, Angelina Jolie movies, cities in Florida, and types of beans" but the second game they had some trouble and did not win.

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ Sky returned to the show today after having to leave early from work yesterday because of that time of the month issues. She said that she wanted to apologize to Shauna for putting her out and having her come in to cover for her. So of course, we had Shauna come down to the studio and we did it live on the air. We took a poll on whether or not we thought that Shauna would placate Sky or if she would be honest about it. Shauna was pretty honest about everything and Sky tried to manipulate the situation.

~ Mikey set up a surprise for his boy Eddie today and had Anthony Daniels on the show. Anthony played C3PO in Star Wars. He told us that the suit was custom made to fit his body and that he wore tights underneath it. He also revealed some movie magic secrets about Star Wars like how they filmed the shot where he was all busted up and on Chewbacca's back. Mikey and Eddie agreed that this was the best Star Wars interview that they had ever had on.

~ We broke down the lyrics of a couple of songs today. We listened to and discussed Def Leopard's Pour Some Sugar On Me, which was wicked hard to figure out what they are talking about in the song because the lyrics are off the wall but overall we decided that its an epic love song. Then we heard Poison's Talk Dirty To Me which is song that has no credibility and we think it talks about rape.

~ We had The Best Man Challenge today. B. Dub and Mikey went head to head in Eddie trivia to see who would end up Eddie's best man in his wedding. B. Dub was overly confidant and Mikey was extremely nervous. They had to answer questions like "what position did Eddie play when he played soccer?", "what are his favorite sports teams" and "name the cities Eddie lived in, in chronological order". Mikey won it.

~ We played Tone Deaf Karaoke today. Today we heard some great songs destroyed. We heard a version of Puddle of Mud's Control that no one could identify, also Sarah Mclachlan's Arms of an Angel, and Soul Asylum's Runaway Train.

Tomorrow on The Mikey Show… We review the Apprentice's web challenge and hold a boardroom where one of The Apprentice's will be fired.

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ Sky was here today but then left a little ways into the show because of that time of the month cramps. Shauna came in around 9 this morning to help fill in and semi-read the news.

~ Mark Geragos, famed celebrity attorney called into the show today. He was the attorney for Michael Jackson during the recent molestation charges until he was pulled off the case because he was called to the stand. He told us that one thing we would find shocking about Michael Jackson is that he is a great father to his kids. He also was Scott Peterson's attorney and told us that he believes Scott is not guilty. He explained that to be the kind of criminal lawyer he is, you have to have it in you and not anyone can do it.

~ Frank Vincent who plays Phil Leotardo on The Sopranos called into the show. Frank was also in Good Fellas which he played Billy Bats. He said you can get "Go get your shine box" t-shirts on his site www.frankvincent.com. He has a book out right now that you can also get from his site called A Guys Guide To Being A Man's Man which covers everything from music to listen to while making love, how to get past a door man, where to go in Las Vegas and how to treat women.

~ Dr. Phil made an appearance on the show today. We got an email from some broad trying to stick up for Ashlee and all her talk about karma. The broad claimed that karma is real and that we should not make fun of it but we should live by it. Mikey brought in Dr. Phil to give this broad some advice on karma. Dr. Phil told us about what his uncle Alec Baldwin said about karma and went on to tell this chick it's bad karma to defend Ashlee.

~ B- Dub stopped by claiming that he is Eddie's best man in the wedding. Eddie has not made an official announcement but we have also said that Mikey is going to be his best man. B. Dub challenged Mikey to Eddie trivia for the title of best man.

Tomorrow on The Mikey Show… B. Dub and Mikey go head to head in the Best Man Challenge competing to be the Best Man at Eddie's wedding, may the best man win.

Today on The Mikey Show...

 

~ We played some P-1 Trivia today. P-1 Rob took on P-1 Shannon for their chance to come into the studio on Friday. Right off the bat when Shannon was asked to pronnounce "Here, here, here" like the members of the Mikey Show does she could not do it and that upset Mikey pretty bad. She half redeemed herself from it but lost to P-1 Rob, who will be joining us on Friday.

 

~ We played Puss Rock Juke Box today. B. Rob filled in as judge for Sean who was still out sick today. We had a pretty gay batch of guys singing on todays episode except for P-1 Scooby who attempted to be gay but could not pull it off. We heard "Didn't we almost have it all" from Whitney Houston, Doctor Doctor, and the song "I think we're alone now".

 

~ We talked about having friends that we only call when we need something but we don't mean it to be like that. Mikey and Sky both admitted to doing it with our mutual friend Amy. They explained that they only really talk to her when they get Padres tickets but they dont mean it to be like that because they both love her and truely value her friendship. Eddie explained that he has friend like that, she only comes to him when she needs movie tickets. He said they used to be really close but now he only hears from her when she needs something. She works in the building and Eddie confronted her on the air today. She apologized after she found out that it hurt his feelings.

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ We played Tone Deaf Karaoke today. This batch of songs was wicked tough to decipher, the P-1's could not figure out Ashlee singing Al Green. Then we heard one of the most ridiculous renditions of 4 Non Blondes "What's Going On?" and we heard a funny version of Boys 2 Men.

~ Holly from The Mikey Show Apprentice was in studio today for her chemistry challenge. She did better than everyone expected. We thought she might be a little over bearing but she blended in quite well with the show. We had another Apprentice Board Room today where one person got fired. In the boardroom Krysta and Zeth got a chance to defend themselves and why they should not be fired, during it Krysta called our Ring Tone game crappy which everyone took offense to. Krysta was fired today but not for her comments but for her crappy performance the last two weeks.

~ We talked about lyrics from songs that we had always misunderstood. Eddie told us that whenever he heard the song Drops of Jupiter by Train and they said Heaven in the song he thought they said Van Halen. Mikey's wife called in and told us a song she misunderstood and P-1's called with different songs as well. There is a website called kissthisguy.com where it lists the most confused lyrics.

~ We got into over what character from a movie would you like to be your roommate. Mikey told us that he would want to be roommates with Willy Wonka if he had the chance and Sky was not buying. Eddie had to jump in a defend Mikey, telling her that they are both fascinating people and would probably get along great discussing their oddities and food.

~ We talked about what movies and actors or actresses are under-rated. Mikey and Eddie both agreed that John Carpenters' The Thing was wicked under-rated. Ashlee brought up Way of the Gun which was completely accurate. B. Rob added Made to the list and Sky said Grammas' Boy.

The Mikey Show is on vacation for the next week, we will be back live in studio a week from Monday. Habbagoodone

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ Krysta, one of the Apprentices, was in studio all morning with us for her chemistry challenge. She came in with a bang and her and Ashlee got into it right away. We were talking with Krysta about her mother being very much in her life and overpowering to an extent. Then when Ashlee jumped in she took a shot at Ashlee bringing up that Ashlee is like that with her dad. That was really the only time we heard from Krysta today, the rest of the show she did not make a beep. When we reviewed her performance at the end of the show, everyone had expected more.

~ We had P-1's guess each member of The Mikey Show's ring tone. We had P-1's on the line and Bobby called each person on the show one at a time to listen to there ring tone. We heard B. Rob's "Dirt Off Your Shoulders" by Jay-Z, Eddie had the Monday Night Football theme, Sky had some weird generic ring tone that sounded like a Casio keyboard, Ashlee had another generic ring, Mikey had a really gay Justin Timberlake song, and Sean had an old school phone ring (like a rotary phone).

~ We played "Who Can Sean Beat Now?". Today chill town was in full effect and again was not liked by Sean. He started off great nailing the song Purple Rain by Prince in one beat but then got wasted on the second song by a P-1. He claimed that Chill Town got into his head and made him lose. He redeemed himself at the end of the game by taking another win.

~ We spoke with Chris Richardson, the Justin Timberlake impersonator that was kicked off American Idol last week. He spoke with us about his feelings on Seacrest calling him Justin Timberlake. He told us that he was not mad at it at all but it looked like that to everyone that was watching. He then told us that Blake had never even seen the show before this season. He then said that all the rumors about him being connected and hooking up with broads in Hollywood were not true and that he just got out of a three year relationship.

Tomorrow on The Mikey Show… Holly from The Mikey Show Apprentice will be in studio for her chemistry challenge. We have a Board Room where someone from The Mikey Show Apprentice will be fired.

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ Today Zeth from the Apprentice was in studio today with us for the entire show to compete in the chemistry challenge. Mikey evaluated Zeth at the end of the show and he said that he thought Zeth was going to bring more funny stuff to the show than he did. Sky felt like he was going to jump of the Sky jokes band wagon but he didn't. Overall he did well but nothing too memorable.

~ We played Puss Rock Juke Box today. We heard from some dudes that most likely enjoy taking bubble baths with cucumber slices over their eyes. We heard them sing songs like Eternal Flame more like Eternally flaming, also the song Do You Believe in Love, and Against all Odds.

~ Mikey Broke down the lyrics of another Nickel Back song today. The song called Never Again was the song we took a listen to. This is about spousal abuse and we all agreed it’s a serious topic but the way Chad Kroeger writes his songs, you would think he does it in crayon because the songs are so childish.

~ In the news there was a story about a woman being bit by a shark off the coast of Maui. Mikey and Sky are both going to Maui at the end of the week and this got both of them a little frightened. Mikey said he will still go in the water but his wife is not going snorkeling now. We had her on to try and convince her to still go and explain that shark attacks are rare.

Tomorrow on The Mikey Show… Chris Richardson a.k.a the Justin Timberlake impersonator, who was the last person kicked off of American Idol, calls in. Krysta from The Apprentice is in studio all morning to see how she blends in with the chemistry of the show.

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ We played P-1 Trivia for a P-1 to win the chance to come into the studio on Thursday. Today it was P-1 Sanjaya taking on P-1 Low Low. We thought that P-1 Sanjaya would kick ass in this but he fell through big time. P-1 Low Low ended up whooping him but Mikey is letting them both come in.

~ The Mikey Show Apprentice kids came in to get their next challenge. Right off the bat, the chicks were getting into it. Holly was taking the brunt of the smack talk but held her own. Mikey told them that the challenge is a chemistry challenge and that each of them would sit in on the show for a day. They would be judged on how good they mix with us and whether they make a good contribution while on the show. Jess sat in with the show today. During her time with us we found out that her and Zeth (the only guy on The Apprentice) have been hooking up and are somewhat dating.

~ In the news today there was a story about this kid who had 2 spiders in his ear and had to get them flushed out. Mikey found this the appropriate time to read us an email that he received over the weekend titled "Black Widow verse Penis". The email was about his P-1 who went to use the port-a-potties and sat down only to see a spider web on his member. He then saw one of the biggest black widows he had ever seen and ran out of the port-a-potty. HE got three steps out and dropped to the ground. He was bit on his unit and had to go to the hospital where they had no anti-venom for him. He continued on to tell us that he decided to not take the anti-venom. He was in the hospital toughing it out for 10 days.

~ We played Bombed at the Beach today. The contestants were Maria and Sanga and they were both wasted. Ashlee asked them questions like "What state is Hillary Clinton the senator of?" and "What talk show host was recently fired for racist comments?". Today Jess from The Apprentice played and won the whole thing.

Tomorrow on The Mikey Show… Zeth from The Apprentice will be in studio for his part of The Mikey Show Apprentice Challenge, where we see how good his chemistry is with the show.

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ Today every one gave their best man toast to Eddie. The person who received the most vote for their speech gets to give a speech at Eddie's Wedding. B. Rob kicked it off with referencing Tom Brady wearing a Yankees hat and taking shots at both Sky and Bobby all while complimenting Eddie. Sean did a dark speech surrounding how marriage is the end of a lot of things for Eddie like having fun and having control of his life. Ashlee did a straight from the heart speech and broke into song during it. She sang a country song putting Eddie and his soon to be wife's names in it. Bobby went way of the beaten path and did a entire story of Eddie and the Mrs. as Star Wars characters. Sky did a proper Irish proverb toast for Eddie. B. Rob ended up winning.

~ We had the results of The Mikey Show Apprentice Challenge. A few of the contestants killed it and a couple did not. Zeth made it down to the Britney Spears concert and got in a few live shots with a Mikey Show sign, Holly hired a plane with a Mikey Show sign trailing it to fly over the 8 during rush hour then over the Padres game, Jess made it on TV at the Padres game, she was behind home plate. Krysta had taken out a small ad in the UT and tried to make it into the Ramona school lockdown shot on TV and Vanessa came into the show with virtually nothing beside a picture of her car painted. During the boardroom, Vanessa was fired.

~ We spoke with Steve Schirrippa today. He plays Bobby Bacala on The Sopranos. He has a book that is out called The Goomba Diet, which he told us is not a diet at all. He said if you want to do some running, don't pay your bookie for 3 weeks and if you think your starting to look fat then hang out with people fatter than you. He suggested another restaurant for Mikey and Eddie to go to next year when they take their trip to New York. He would not give us any clues as to what happens at the end of the Sopranos.

~ Mikey and Sky got into over who should take out the cat litter box. Mikey has had it with taking out the litter box and is not even a fan of the cats his wife owns any more. Sky thinks that he married into having the cats and needs to suck it up and just keep up with his chore. Mikey

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ Tom Brady is allegedly a Yankees fan. Sky found the story ( a picture of Brady with a Yankees hat on) on tmz.com and broke the news to the fellas, they then broke this news to B. Rob on the air. B. Rob almost had a heart attack. The guys would not leave it alone and decided to torment B. Rob for the rest of the show.

~ We played Tone Deaf Karaoke today. Today Ashlee killed it with Britney Spears "Hit me baby one more time", We heard her do no justice to Journey's "Open Arms" and finally she did Pearl Jam's Daughter.

~ Eddie gets married real soon and Sky was wondering what the situation was with giving a toast. She was wondering who would be allowed to give a toast and proposed that Eddie have an open mic at his wedding and allow anyone toast the newlyweds. That was not going to fly with Eddie but now everyone on the show besides Mikey is competing to make a toast to Eddie at his wedding. The best toast on tomorrow's show will get to toast Eddie at his wedding.

~ We got a call from P-1 Nancy today about the "M+M's" show a.k.a. Britney Spears. This broad was wicked upset over the show. She told us that she had paid 500 bucks from a scalper for her ticket and was mad that Britney only played for 15 minutes at the most. She told us that she was considering suing Britney for the sucky concert. Mikey tried to reason with this crazy lady but it did not help. We had Sarah from the front come back to the studio and tell us about her experience of the show. She was there and was enamored by the fact that she got to see Britney that close up.

~ Eddie dished out his Tough Love to a few lucky P-1's today. In his first email, Eddie helped out a broad whose friend really wanted to be like Paris Hilton and Pam Anderson. This chick would dress like them and was even getting a boob job like Pam. The second email came from a distressed wife whose husband kept farting in bed and she wrote in saying that it was killing the romance in their relationship and her feelings towards him were starting to change. Eddie finally helped out a guy whose girlfriend snored horribly.  

Tomorrow on The Mikey Show… We find out how the apprentice contestants did in there challenge and we have a Mikey Show Apprentice Boardroom, where someone will be fired.

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ We played our new game involving the Google Master Sky where P-1's call in and challenge Sky to a Google-off. Today P-1's had to compete with Sky on questions like "How tall is Gary Coleman?" and ?"What was the release date of the movie Big Trouble in Little China?". Also the question "how many grams of protein in a serving of honey baked ham?" which we were all astonished to learn that Sky did no know that one of the top of her head.

~ Our boy Lew Bush came into the studio today to hook us up with some of his delicious food. He brought some food from his catering company, Aqua Catering. He brought us some deep fried turkey and of course his wicked good ribs. He also brought in this cheese cake/ sweet potato pie which Sky had a hard time trying because she does that thing where she sets herself up to hate the food before she even tastes it.

~ We talked about the fight Saturday night. Oscar De La Hoya is fighting Floyd May Weather Jr and they fellas discussed who they thought would win. Mikey said that his father, being a very proud Mexican, will obviously be routing for De La Hoya and he will be as well. Everyone else agreed that Mayweather has the speed and endurance to beat him. Lew and Mikey made a cultural bet on the fight, if Mikey wins Lew has to make him Collard Greens and if Mikey loses he will make Lew home made Tortillas.

~ We did a little "Whatcha' Doin' At The Court House?" today. Today we heard from a old lady who has been fighting a case from 1988. She explained in the audio she did some time for harboring a fugitive. The next guy we heard from had been transporting over 100 pounds of weed across international borders and was sentenced to 25 to life but only served 6 years because of his appeal.

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ We played P1 Balderdash today. Today We learned that the phrase "Jippy Jappa" is not slang from Mr. T but is actually leaves from a tree in Panama which is used to make hats. We learned that there is a law in Fitchburg Mass that does not state anything about B. Rob or his Red Sox but states that a barber cannot carry a comb behind their ear.

~ We played some P-1 Trivia today. P-1 Shin went up against the notorious P-1 Birdman. This was a great match up and came very close. They had to answer questions like "What is the Cricket wireless mascot?" and "What is Ramsey's medical condition?". We had to go to a tie breaker and P-1 Birdman ended up winning but Mikey decided to let both P-1's come into the studio on Friday.

~ Mikey received an email from this guy who had a concern and wanted Mikey to address it. The P-1 told us that his girlfriend of a year had asked him if she could go out for coffee with this guy she knew. He went on to tell us that he did not know the guy and felt uncomfortable if this guy took his lady out. Mikey could not express enough how inappropriate it was for that other guy to take his lady out for coffee, which is basically is a date. Sky was in opposition to Mikey and they got into a little tiff over it. Mikey tried to explain to Sky that she would flip if her man went for coffee with a broad from work and Sky denied it (which we all know is a lie).
