Today on The Mikey Show…

~ We hooked up a couple of P-1's on P-1 Love Connection today. P-1 Jill was in studio to have a question and answer session with the P-1 fellas competing for the date. We found out that Jill is a card dealer and is kind of commitment-phobic. She asked the guys who they think they are like on the show personality wise, what was the most adventurous thing they did last year and what was their biggest lie ever. Jill ended picking the guy that was closer to her age and they are going to sushi tonight. We will recap with them tomorrow.

~ We played some "Who Can Sean Beat Now?". Sean had a clean sweep of his victims today and went undefeated. Sky joined "chill town" today and Mikey commented that there is something delicious about a man that does not enjoy his supporting group.

~ Mikey got an email from this guy wondering about gift etiquette. The P-1 wrote saying that he got his friend a Tivo as a gift but he friend was not using it. He was wondering if its appropriate or okay to ask for the gift back so it does not go used. Mikey said that there is no way you can ask for a gift back but come to find out Sky is in the same kind of position but is going to ask for the gift back. Sky got her mom an Ipod for the holidays and her mother does not use it. Sky is going to ask for it back and upgrade the gift to a CD player that her mom will use. The guys thought that it was tacky and inappropriate to do.

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ Tyrone and Tortilla made an appearance on the show today. Today they had on some guy who was a columnist and a so called fashion expert. He wanted to get on and talk about the Academy Awards but that was not happened with T & T. They kept calling him by different names and at one point Tortilla called him Dave Coulier. Tyrone asked the fashion expert what would be good to wear to a child support hearing and actually got some good advice.

~ We played Sound Effects Theater today. This match up was the best we have ever had. It was P-1 Joe E. Tata taking on P-1 Spaceboy and they went on forever. Mikey eventually had to cut them off and tell them they both won. They were busting out sound effects that Sean has not used in months.

~ P-1 Katelyn called in today complaining about a gift her man got her. She told us that she explained to her man that she wanted a certain Coach bag. Her man got it for her but when her girlfriend examined it for her, they realized that it was a fake or a Foach bag. She was pissed and explained that she got him a full body massage for his birthday and that he could cough up the money for her. She said that it would be like if she told him it was a full body massage and was only neck and shoulders. She felt that her man scammed her. P-1's called in with their takes and one guy explained that her man might not of know he was buying a fake Coach bag and he could of got taken.

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ We played Tone Deaf Karaoke today. No one could figure out what the heck Ashlee was singing today. She destroyed Lenny Kravitz' "Are you going to go my way?", along with the song "Must have been Love", Will Smith's "Getting Jiggy with it", and Faith Hill's "This Kiss".

~ Mikey read us an email today about a chick that had no problem with Britney going out and partying once she got divorced. In the email the P-1 explained that she had got married at an earlier age and had a child. She wrote that by 24 she was already divorced with a young kid and when she was finally free from her relationship she went a little wild and got tattooed and partied.

~ Mikey kind of mended the bridge between Sky and Ashlee today. Ashlee and Sky have still not said a word to each other over the fight they got in earlier this week. Mikey addressed the situation in a serious manner (not like yesterday when Dr. Phil made some suggestions). Mikey explained where he thought they were both coming from and provided them each with a forum to address there feelings. Eddie saw exactly where Sky was coming from and pointed out that Ashlee fights dirty. They both apologized to each other but neither sounded too sincere (it seemed like they were both trying to hold there ground).

Today on The Mikey Show….

~ The first annual Gaytona 500 took place today. This is a tricycle race between Eddie and B. Rob. B. Rob ran his mouth about how he could beat Eddie in anything sports related and with the Daytona 500 this weekend they decided to race, old school tricycle style. They had to do a lap around the building then stop at their pitstop. Eddie's pitstop was furnished with a lazy boy and he had a guy playing acoustic guitar for him while P-1's fanned him and fed him grapes. B. Rob had a fold up chair but was lucky enough to get a piece of gum from one of his P-1 pitcrew members. Eddie ended up winning the race after an exciting couple of laps where they were both almost killed when a BMW came cruising around a corner and took them out.

~ Chris Myers the host of NASCAR on Fox called into the show today. Mikey told him about the Gaytona 500 and he explained to us that he once called a race like the tricycle one we were doing. He said that it was between Vince Vaughn and Owne Wilson adn they raced on go-karts. He told us to be careful becasue in the race he called Vince wiped out.

~ We played Ashlee Pyramid today. Sky was on the money with the first round we played, she nailed every single category on the first try but the P-1 was an idiot and ended up hanging up on us. We played a second round which got a little bit tougher for Mrs. Sky. Ashlee tried describing Abraham Lincoln by saying "penny" then going on to say "when slavery was an issue". Sky did not get that one right.

Mikey Show Recap Tuesday Feb. 20, 2007

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ Norv Turner, the new head coach of the Chargers, called into the show. The decision to make Norv took place this past weekend. He told us that he got the call late Sunday night and they got the deal done that night. He explained that he is excited to be in San Diego because he ahs a great respect for the ownership with Dean Spanos and the management telling us that A.J. Smith has made a lot of decisions that he respects. When Mikey asked about his poor track record as a coach, Norv explained that those teams he took over needed a lot of work and this team is a lot different. He told us that he was very excited to work with Phillip Rivers.

~ Ashlee and Sky had a huge fight today. While talking about Ashlee and B. Rob's appearance tonight for Mardi Gras, everyone was guessing on whether or not Ashlee would go out partying after. Sky made a face to Mikey and then a sarcastic remark about Ashlee not going out after. This upset Ashlee and she went after Sky viciously (mind you, all the guys were making fun of her the entire time but she went after Sky). They had it out for eventually the entire show. If you missed this, it is on the pod cast.

~ We played P-1 Trivia today. This was another chance for a P-1 come in and watch the action of The Mikey Show live. Today we had P-1 Becky going up against P-1 Hal. They had to answer questions like "where did Mikey and Eddie go to high school?" and what is Eddie's old roommates' cool sports job?". This week we had our first guy winner, P-1 Hal will be in studio Friday.

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ Today we started P-1 Love Connection. We had P-1 Tamara in studio today to kick off our first P-1 Love Connection where The Mikey Show hooks up single P-1's and sends them out on a date. Tamara is originally from Australia and has been single for a while and wanted us to help hook her up with a date. We got three P-1 guys on the phone and had her interview them. She asked them questions to find out more about them. There was P-1 Aaron the surfer, P-1 Jeff the construction worker, and P-1 Italo the technical consultant. She picked Jeff and they will go on their date tonight at the House of Blues.

~ B. Rob got a Brazilian wax today. B. Rob has not done a stunt for a while and Mikey wanted to have him get all cleaned up for Valentines Day. Michelle from The Salon, where Sky goes for all her salon needs, came in with all the goods. They closed off B. Rob's studio and had Michelle go to town on his male region and give him a male Brazilian waxing. Mikey ended up getting his eyebrows waxed as well.

~ We played a special Valentines Day "Who Can Sean Beat Now?". Today Big Tuna went undefeated and even rubbed it in one P-1's face. We heard some Foreigner "I wanna know what love is", some INXS "Never tear us apart", along with Billy Vera and the Beaters and John Par "St. Elmos Fire".

~ Sky toasts to herself. While we were in break, Sky told Mikey and Eddie something very odd that takes place during holidays like Valentines Day or her birthday (which she does consider her birthday a holiday). During dinner Sky says that she will raise her glass to her hubby and that is his signal to make a toast to her. The guys were astonished that she would actually toast herself.

Mikey Show Recap Tuesday Feb. 13, 2007

Today on The Mikey Show...
~ Marty Schottenheimer was fired from his position as head coach of the Chargers yesterday. We talked with A.J. Smith the G.M. of the Chargers about the firing and where the Chargers will go from here. A.J. told us not to dissect what had happened but to look forward like the Chargers are doing. He said he has a list of people they are going to start interviewing right away and that they should have a coach within the next couple of weeks. The interview is on the pod cast if you missed it. Eddie threw his hat in the ring and A.J. told him that he will call him.

~ Eddie and B. Rob will have their first athletic competition this week. We were talking about it this morning realized that the Daytona 500 is this weekend. We decided to have a tricycle race between the two and call it the Gaytona 500 because Sky keeps saying B. Rob is gay (wicked funny,     not.) They will have to race around the building this Friday and will each have their own pit crew made up of P-1's.

~ We played Puss Rock Juke Box today. Today B. Rob sucked at getting the P-1's on the line who knew what they were doing but the jack hole callers also were douche bags to B. Rob for lying to him in the first place. Any hoot, we finally got a P-1 who busted out the correct melody and semi-correct lyrics.

~ We spoke with Mikey and Eddie's boys from Dallas today. Eddie told us that he invited Steve Woods and Mark Baumann to his wedding. Mikey told us that these guys were too hectic for his wedding. Mikey and Eddie hung with these guys back in the Free Beer Fridays in Dallas and we have been warned about their wild ways many times. When we talked to Mark he immediately started hitting on Ashlee and told us about his German suit he had on at that moment. They said they are going to come out a day early to come in studio with us.

Mikey Show Recap Monday Feb. 12, 2007

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ Dr. Prison was in studio today. This man has a staff of about 10 people who will counsel people that are going to prison. The counselors have been to prison before and Dr. Prison told us that he hires only ex-cons that have be rehabilitating themselves back in the community for a few years. Dr. Prison gave Mikey a few tips on going to jail, telling him that you have to stick with your own race and that you have to very careful with your eye contact and make sure you are not challenging or disrespectful with it.

~ We played P-1 Trivia today to let a P-1 come and hang out in the studio on Friday for the entire show. Today the competitors were P-1 Baby Shaker and P-1 Jen. P-1 Baby Shaker was the man who tried to ask Ashlee out on air last week but was shot down. He did not get one question correct today which made even worse of an impression of him to Ashlee. P-1 Jen will be coming to hang out on Friday.

~ We played P-1 Pop Culture today. Today Eddie took on P-1 Jen who had been talking trash to Mikey over email about beating Eddie in P-1 Pop Culture. Eddie smoked her in all three rounds of the game today. P-1 Jen did not even win a single round today. Some of the categories were 80's movies and Star Wars.

~ The show was thinking about making Sky a memory jar for Valentines Day. We started talking about different show memories with Sky that we have all had and the infamous 3rd degree sunburn came up. This story gets more intense every time we hear it. Sky explained that she was taking an acne medication that made her even more sensitive to the sun. Eddie asked if it was a pill and she told us no that it was a cream but then retracted the answer and said yes that she actually was on the pill and taking a crème. The story kept getting more ridiculous when Sky was talking about the doctor that prescribed her steroids for the sunburn.

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ Anna Nicole Smith a.k.a. Vicki Lynn Hogan past away yesterday. There is so many things going on with the situation and we discussed all of them. We talked about the baby and who the real dad is whether it be her lawyer/lover Howard K. Stern or that other guy. We also discussed whether or not she has a will and where her settlement money is going, whether its to the baby or to Howard K. Stern. We had P-1 Vanessa, The Mikey Show attorney, on to discuss the situation from a legal stand point.

~ Bill Maher, comic and host of Real Time with Bill Maher called into the show today. Bill told us that he believed that Anna's death came from drug use unless she was being stalked by a NASA astronaut. He told us that he thinks that the over the counter drug businesses are evil and can cause a lot of deaths in the pills they manufacture. He told us that his idea of a commercial for this is "kids, stick to marijuana".

~ We had day two of the Grease auditions. Today was the acting part of the audition and the two Sandy and Danny couples had to act out the scene where Sandy and Danny reunite. Eddie and Sky went first. I tip my hat to there and give them an "E" for effort. Ashlee and B. Rob went next and they had what it took because the P-1's voted and they won.

~ We played Sound Effects Theater. Today P-1 Joe E. Tata took on P-1 The Dude, who really stood no chance. P-1 Joe E. Tata is a serious P-1 and got down to business taking the victory.

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ Sky has had sex in a bath house. Sky brought up in the news that a local bath house was being closed down for the customers having sex inside. Mikey did not know what an actual bath house was, we joke about it but he did not know the real meaning. Sky claimed she did not know either until we got some phone calls describing a bath house.

~ We had our own Grease competition today. Mikey was talking about how horrible the Grease reality show is and how his wife make shim watch it and Sky agreed that the talent in lacking in the show and that she could absolutely be a better Sandy. P-1 Twiggs called and said that he wanted Sky to prove it and wanted her to sing a Grease song. We turned it into our own Grease reality show on the radio. Eddie and Sky teamed up and B. Rob and Ashlee teamed up and they each sang Summer Nights. Tomorrow will be the acting part of the competition and then we will have P-1's vote on how was the better couple.

~ Mikey hates his cats. He was telling us how his cats have been acting weird towards him lately and how he believes they hate him. He also said that recently they have gone number 1 on his bed. He wanted to get rid of them but his wife will not let him give them away. Sky defended the cats (of course) and said that he would not throw his parents out of the house if they lost control of their bowels movements but that argument was absurd so we moved on. Sky then told us that her cats have had some problems recently and that one of them had blood in its stool and she found out because of the paw marks he was leaving around the house. Also some of the paw marks were in more disgusting places like on her arm when she woke up.

~ We played our new game Wheel of Accents today. This is a game where P-1's call in and we spin a wheel with accents on it and they have to talk in that accent. Today only one P-1 pulled it out, the accents we heard today were British, Asian, and Hispanic.

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ Quentin "Rampage" Jackson, who made his debut in the UFC last weekend, came into the studio today. This guy was hysterical. He is originally from Memphis and told us that he had been a fighter his whole life. He said that he came from a tough neighborhood where he started fighting adults at the age of 8. He said that later in life he would be paid from dealers to beat up people that owed money. Rampage was only running on an hour of sleep and he said he was out partying with K-Fed and Wilmer Valderama, who he called "Yo Mama" because he could not pronounce his name. Rampage explained to Mikey how you use a grill and what it can do for you. He also told us that when he was fighting in Japan for Pride fighting he still lived in the U.S. and would travel there for fights. He told us his theory on Japanese food, he said he does not believe they know how to cook because they serve everything raw.

~ We played P-1 Price Is Right today. Today there was another bet put on the line. This time the stakes were higher and the losers have to buy the winners breakfast two days next week. I am happy to say the guys won this time. P-1 Eleanor who played for the ladies did not even get one right. P-1 Richard pulled it out for the guys and won it.

~ We heard some crazy stalker stories from Sean and the P-1's today. Sean told us about a girlfriend that broke his heart and he ended up stalker her a few years later. He explained that after they had broke up and a few years passed he disguised himself as a homeless person and had a buddy bump into her while wearing a wire which he could listen to the conversation on. This inspired other P-1's to call in with their stalker/revenge stories. We got some crazy calls like the lady that almost ran over the broad her man was cheating with and then there was the guy that married his lady who he knew was cheating, only to pull a prank on her at the wedding. ~ We talked to Mikey's friend Andrea today. She was a contestant on The Apprentice last season. She talked to us about the game War Craft for your PC and how she is now selling stickers and other swag for the game. You can find everything she sells at www.andrealake.com.

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ Dr. Phil came on the show today. Mikey received an email from this P-1 father whose 16 year old daughter came home with her first tattoo. To make the matters worse she got it in Tijuana. Dr. Phil old us about his Uncle Tyra Banks and then admitted he has not uncle Tyra but hates Tyra Banks and thinks she is fat. When he finally did get to giving advice he called the tattoo a tramp stamp and started quoting Olivia Newton John.

~ We talked to Mike Rowe the host of the show Dirty Jobs on Discovery Channel. He explained that he is not really the host but a guest to the job that they are filming that day. It started out that he would be apprenticing at the job and he has been to 141 "dirty jobs". He told us that the worst job he has ever seen is the lift pump removal which is in the sewage field and guys have to truck through human feces to fix the lift pump. He said that another nasty job is chick sexing, where guys all day long squeeze little chickens till the poo comes out and figure out what the sex of it is.

~ We played Puss Rock Juke Box today. We heard a great rendition of The Bengal's' Manic Monday done by a dude who could hit some high notes and by high notes I mean he is gay. We also heard a guy sing the song Time Of My Life from the movie Dirty Dancing, we all thought he was a big gay Patrick Swayze fan.

~ Mikey read us an email that he got from this guy who was upset with his neighbor. He wrote in the email that his neighbor has still not taken down his Christmas lights. He said there is no H.O.A. in the neighborhood so his neighbor does not have to take them down but it is obnoxious to keep them up. He wanted to complain with the other neighbors and wanted Mikey's take on the situation. This lead to us taking a call about Sky calling a Christmas tree a Holiday tree and the guys started busting her up about it. They continued on to bust her balls about not being environmentally sound when it comes to the lights in her house.

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ Today we played P-1 Balderdash. We learned that Octothrope is the pound sign on your phone. Also we found out that the Linear brothers are not a gay wrestling tag team from the 80's or the fill in guys for Siegfried and Roy but actually are the worlds tallest twins.

~ We talked about last nights Super Bowl and the commercials. We all agreed that Prince's halftime show was a little weird and not the best we have seen (far from it actually). Mikey played audio from some of the commercials. We agreed that the best ones were the Bud Light commercials.

~ Sean told us about an event he had to work this weekend with Chris Daughtry. Sean told us that one of the big morning shows up in the bay area they had an event last night during the Super Bowl. The event was for Chris Daughtry and his band Daughtry to play. He said that minutes before he was supposed to go on the tour manager came out and said that Chris  Daughtry does not want to perform. After a while the Record Executive came back and said that he will be going on. Sean went on to tell us that Chris mumbled through his last two songs and was a "D" the entire time. We listened to the audio, which was not authorized by the executives to be played ever again, on the show. In the song Chris hardly sang and when he did it was horribly mumbled.

~ We played P-1 Trivia today, where 1 lucky P-1 gets a chance to come into the studio and watch the show on Friday. Today P-1 Jersey Boy took on the well known P-1 Natalie. They had to answer questions like "what is big charlie?" (the mole on Sky's back) and "who enjoys a quick snapper after the show?"(Ashlee). After a tough battle P-1 Natalie pulled it out.

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ John Walsh from America's Most Wanted called into the show. He told us about the special edition of America's Most Wanted that is on Saturday. He said they teamed up with MTV for an episode about teen violence and abusive relationships amongst teens. He told us that the pain of his son being taken is not gone and that he channels the anger from it into something positive in helping others with the show.

~ P-1 Indiana called us from Indiana today to talk about the situation her and her boyfriend are in right now. She explained that now that her team is in the Super Bowl she is more into the team than she ever had been before. She explained that her man who is a life long fan (she has been a fan of only five years) is over her being so hard core all of a sudden. Mikey and Eddie both agreed that she needs to calm it down a bit.

~ Paul Wright, a Christian recording artist, came in studio today. You can find him on myspace, his site is www.myspace.com/paulwright. He has a Jack Johnson vibe to him and he play his song Sunrise to Sunset for us. Ashlee was smitten by him. He told us how he is going to be playing on a cruise ship next. If you want to down load his music you can find him on itunes and his album is called Sunrise to Sunset.

~ We played Ashlee Pyramid today. Sky was pretty good about guessing the categories today except for when Ashlee kept saying Roger Clemens when she was trying to describe San Diego Padres OR the category "things you do in an airport" and Ashlee said drink wine. It was hilarious and overall Sky did a great job at deciphering Ashlee speak.

Today on The Mikey Show...
~ We spoke with 3 time Super bowl champ and ESPN analyst Michael Irvin. Mikey asked if he had ever been called Mikey and he told us that when he was real young he was called Mikey but that was very brief. A P-1 called in and asked Michael where he gets all of his suits. He explained that he has them all custom made and his wife is the head fashion consultant for the suits. He briefly discussed with us the comments he made about Tony Romo that he has been criticized about. He said that he has now learned that locker room joking should not transfer over to the desk job.

~ Bill Romanowski, 4 time Super Bowl champ, called into the show today. When Mikey asked him about the steroid use and the spitting in the face of and punching another player, Bill said that he can not take back the things he has done but he realizes that he should of walked away. Bill told us about his new energy drink that he and a team of the top scientists have come up with called Neuro 1. He talked to us about the 20 something concussions he had in his career and how the drink can help people focus and perform to the best of their ability. 

~ We played Tone Deaf Karaoke today. The first song was not that bad actually. It was Ashlee's sexy remix version of Incubus's song Drive. She also sang a Jewel song which Sky is usually the one know to sing Jewel. Ashlee did not do Jewel or Sky justice in singing the song.

~ B. Dub and Mr. Mike Costa swung by the studio this morning. Mikey has been helping in planning Eddie's bachelor party and is in charge of sending emails to everyone attending. These emails sparked a harsh chain of emails with questionable verbiage back to everyone on the list including Eddie's dad and uncles. The guys stopped by to discuss what was written.

~ We listened to some old tapes of B.C. that Mikey got his hands on. These tapes were of B.C. in the beginning of his career (when radio first began). The audio was priceless. We got to hear B.C. "rock us into the weekend" and we heard a segment B.C. used to do called Mr. T's neighborhood.

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ Jimmie Johnson, # 48 in the Chevy car, called into the show. Jimmie told us that he is back in town doing some press. He said that on his time off this year he and his wife went down to the Caribbean. We found out that his wife usually travels with him when he is working. Mikey asked about the motor homes the drivers have and Jimmie told us that they are so expensive that they call them buses and they can cost up to 7 digits.

~ We heard from Brad and Angela today. Brad called us last week and wanted to ask out his boss and ended up quitting his job to get a date with her. When we talked to Angela, we got an overall feeling that she really had a great time on the date and she told us that she would love to go out with Brad again. Brad on the other hand did not seem to excited over the date and when asked if he would want to go on anther date, he said "sure".

~ We played Bombed At The Beach today. Today Eddie won and Sky was not picked to play (although she played along anyway). One of today's contestants was so drunk, when asked "what is the imaginary line that splits the 2 hemispheres?" he answered "blue". Some other questions were "what city is nicknamed the Emerald City?" and "Who has the tag line, you are now free to move about the country?".

~ Sean explained to us the reason he has not responded to the email about Eddie's bachelor party. Sean said that he had not responded because he was unsure if his mother would be coming into town that weekend. Mikey thought he was lying and pointed out that Sean is not a party animal and hates that kind of scene. Eddie assured Sean that it would not be your typical strippers and booze hound weekends like most bachelor parties but it will be gambling and golfing and his father will be there. Sean felt a little better about the situation after hearing that.
