Today on The Mikey Show...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIKEY!!!
~ Sky paid off her bet today and it was monumental. Sky lost the Cook-off to Eddie last week so she had to got down to the corner of Friars and Frazee dressed in a French maid outfit with a huge picket sign that read "Women should been seen not heard" and on the other side said "I'm a Beating". Sky and B. Rob showed up down on Friars and the only word to describe it was pandemonium. There was a ridiculous crowd that was already formed at the corner when we arrived. They had cameras and video cameras and the pictures and videos are on the web at mikeyshow.com. The guys did not let it go for the rest of the day. Mikey kept saying that this monumental event made his the best birthday ever. This even lead into the legit question of "if Ramsey was there?" which we found out Ramsey was circling from above in the DK2 Sky's helicopter.

~ Sky aka "Frenchy" was also Sean's friend of the day. I think Eddie nailed it when he said that he believed the picture was France's representative for the javelin in the Special Olympics. Shauna even had a guess and she thought it was a worker protesting down at the border with a sign that said "Illegal's take our jobs". Sean thought that it was a woman and a journalist who gave up all her morals to pay off a bet.

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ We played Puss Rock Juke Box today. We had 2 out of three P-1's win and realize that they are gay. The songs today were the Breakfast Club theme song, R.E.O. Speed wagon's Can't Fight This Feeling, and Lionel Richie's Hello.

~ Mikey got an email from this P-1 asking for some advice about a problem he has with a co-worker. He said his co-worker will never shut up and that she thinks they are friends because he has not told her to shut up. He said he is at his wits end and can not take it anymore. Mikey called in Dr. Phil to give this guy some advice. Dr. Phil went on a rant about when he was in college and dormed with a Native American tribe and how the shaman gave him advice on this exact subject. Dr. Phil then told him some advice that his Uncle K-Fed told him and pretend he has turrets.

~ Mikey got another email from this P-1 about how he had got surgery and after during his recovery process he wanted to stay with his parents and his wife was really upset over it. He wanted to know what we thought about it. Mikey talked about his last surgery and how his parents came into town to stay with him and take care of him. Mikey did agree that now it should be his wife's job to take care of him. The P-1's were split on the topic some believed that it is their spouses deal now but others felt that no one can take care of them like their parents.

Mikey Show Recap Friday May 25, 2006

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ The Great Cook Off between Eddie and Sky took place today. We had our celebrity judges here today who were Lew Bush, Carissa from Food Network, and The Food Dude Kevin from ESPN's Cold Pizza. The secret ingredient was revealed today and it was ground beef, we did not want to make it too intricate for Eddie and Sky. Eddie decided he would make a Mexican meatball soup, his famous guacamole burgers, and a risotto. Sky decided to make Carissa's meatballs, tacos which changed halfway into a taco salad, and Sky's California burgers. Sky had Carissa and Kevin helping and giving advice throughout and Eddie took none. At the end Eddie had a great presentation but his risotto was not cooked enough, his burgers went over well and his soup was ok. Eddie's presentation was that of a real artists all Picasso like. Sky's presentation was alright nothing fancy but her food went over a little bit better with the judges. The scores were very close but Eddie ended up winning when Mikey announced that Carissa gave Sky a bad score. Sky will now have to wear a French maid outfit on Wednesday at 7 in the am and hold a sign that says "Women should be seen not heard" at the corner of Friars and Frazee.

~ When Lew Bush was in the studio he told us that he played with Ryan Leaf the Charger's disaster of a quarterback. He told us stories of him losing it to coaches and the media and how him and Junior Seau always tried talking to him about calming down and taking things in pride but he never listened.

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ We played Tone Deaf Karaoke today. Ashlee sang some great songs today, she did not sing them great, they were jus great songs. She sang some GNR Welcome To The Jungle, and Light My Candle by The Black Crowes and then the not so great Love Shack from the B-52's.

~ Mikey got another email about Breast feeding but this time it was not about doing it in public but in their own home. This guy said that he had a bunch of guys over for the game and his wife came out in the room and started breast feeding. At that moment one of the guys pulled up a chair right in front of her and was practically staring, he said it was very uncomfortable. The P-1 wanted to know how we would of handled it. Mikey said that you could not call him out on it because he could say he was watching the game but if Mikey was in the situation he would have had his wife leave the room. Eddie said that is uncomfortable all around. The big debate was why do women have to do that so noticeable anyway, they should be more discreet about it all around.

~ We talked all about tomorrows Cook Off. If your not going to be there you are really missing out. There will be tables set up for the P-1's with breakfast being served. There is also now a bet involved. If Sky loses she will have to clean the office in a French maid outfit and we will be taking pictures for the P-1's to view on the web. The secret ingredient will be announced tomorrow morning before the Cook-Off.

Today on The MIkey Show...
~ We played "Who Can Sean Beat Now?". Sean has gone undefeated for another week. The first P-1 to challenge him tried to argue that he won but Sean had it, after that no one even came close to being any kid of competition. He identified songs by Falco as well as the songs Died In Your Arms Tonight and the song Our House.

~ We had another edition of Mikey's Court today. P-1 Mark called in and explained his dilemma. His wife, who he told us he used to love, was doing spring cleaning this past weekend and she wanted him to help. He was busy so she started without him. When he went into the garage he found that she had thrown in the trash his pristine and vintage Playboy collection he has been collecting since he was a youth. Eddie represented P-1 Mark but in an upset lost to Miss Sky and her case that he gave her the go ahead to clean out the house so the fault laid on him.

~ The Cook-off between Sky and Eddie will take place on Friday morning during the show. Today we laid out some of the rules and introduced some of the celebrity guests. Lou Bush will be a celebrity judge as well as Carissa from the Next Star on Food Network will be. Also the Food Dude Kevin Roberts who has been on ESPN's Cold Pizza and also has a book called Munchies out will assist in the cook-off. He will be a resource that Eddie and Sky will each have 15 seconds with him if they get in a bind.

~ Mikey's dad Danny called into the show today to talk about American Idol last night. He said that during the entire season he has been impressed with Katherine McPhee but last night he was over it. He thinks that she will be the next American Idol. Ashlee pointed out that Simon might of helped out Katherine last night by saying that Taylor has the competition in the bag because then people will think that they don't have to vote for him.

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ Eddie was telling how he had his family in town this weekend and how he cooked for everyone. He said it was the first time he had ever cooked for that that many people and he said he did a great job. Sky made a remark about his cooking and then they got into it. A P-1 called in suggesting a cook-off between the two and now this Friday it is on. Sky will test her cooking  skills up against Eddie's in a cook-off during the show on Friday. We are going to have celebrity judges and the P-1's can come down and watch.

~ This P-1 called in during open phones today to tell us about an experience he had at Starbucks. He said that he was coming out after getting his coffee and this lady was sitting there breast feeding her baby right out in the open. He told us that he was not comfortable with it at all and wondered how we felt about it. Sky said that there was nothing wrong with it and that when your baby needs to be feed then you must feed your baby. Mikey and Eddie had a different opinion. They felt that there are certain places that breast feeding should not be done, public places. Mikeys' wife Rebecca was on the phone telling us how soon she will be in this predicament of when and where to breast feed and that certain places are definitely out of the question to do it.

~ We played Puss Rock Juke Box today. Today's game was an interesting one, Mikey was saying that the P-1's that won today would get to go to the Slot Tournament and that got him on the subject on how his wife was mad at him for not telling her or writing on their Strawberry Shortcake calendar that it was tonight. We had her on the phone and she broke Mike off something proper with how things are. Then another interesting thing was the last P-1 was cheating and having his wife sing on the phone after hearing the song, we caught him but we are letting them both go anyway.

~ Pedro from Napoleon Dynamite called into the show today. Efren Ramirez is his real name and he does nto talk anything like Pedro from the movie which was shocking to everyone. He informed us that he DJ's around the world and that he will be in San Diego spinnign soon. Mikey asked if he would come into the studio and spin for us and he said he would.

Mikey Show Recap Friday May 19, 2006

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ We played Low I. Q. Haiku today. Ashlee used the word aghast as that she was full of aghast which was a little awkward. She also refused to use Eddie to start all of her sentences, which really did her wrong because she got none correct today. When Mikey gave her the word bequeath, she informed us that she had never even heard of that word before.

~ Craig Gass sat in on the show with us today. He did another episode of Craig Gass Theater with us. Today he did the part played by Matt Damon in Good Will Hunting as Sam Kinneson then switched it up and did a little Cliff Clavin from Cheers. Then he did the famous Willy Wonka as Al Pacino which was one of the funniest skits I had ever heard.

~ Josh Lewin the play by play guy for the San Diego Chargers called into the show today. He is going to be broadcasting the Oakland versus San Francisco baseball game this weekend where Barry Bonds might tie or even break Babe Ruth's second place home run record. Josh told us how not impressed he was by it and that he will be impressed when he takes the first place record. Josh told us he has nothing scripted for when or if it happens but no one on the show believed he had nothing at all planned.

~ My Name is B. Rob. Today B. Rob tried to make good for a very embarrassing thing he used to do. He admitted to steal food from the fridge in the cafeteria at work. Mikey told him to make good he would have to reach his hand into one bag at a time to find either delicious food or a mouse trap. When B. Rob reached into the fourth bag they told him there was no food only mouse traps.

~ Sky told everyone off air that her middle name was Allen and that she hated it growing up but she will give her child that middle name even if her child is a girl. This infuriated Eddie and mostly everyone else. She said that she did not want to dishonor her family because her family tradition is that girls in the family have first names that begin with the letter L and that their middle name is Allen. Mikey and Eddie fought with her tooth and nail to break tradition and to start her own but she was not budging.

~ Expect to see a battle of wits between Ashlee and B. Rob coming up soon they got into it over who was smarter because Ashlee got a question correct quicker than B. Rob even got the answer. IT'S ON ASHLEE!!!

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ We played Tone Deaf Karaoke Today. Ashlee did a magnificent job on the Christina Aguilera song "You are Beautiful". Craig Gass was in studio when it happened and he could not get enough of it. Ashlee also did a wonderful job on a Bare Naked Ladies song and a Whitney Houston song.

~ Craig Gass was in studio today for another episode of Craig Gass Theater. Craig did an awesome job of Christopher Walken playing the role of Gandolf in The Lord of the Rings. Then he did the famous scene in Jaws where Robert Shaw tells the story of the U.S.S. Indianapolis, except he did it as Tracey Morgan. The ad-libbing was hilarious.

~ We played Bombed at the Beach today. Sky did not get picked to play today but that did not stop her from playing. She had a comment for every question in the game and it drove Eddie crazy. Ashlee told us that the second contestant that she questioned was the drunkest guy ever to play the game and that he was kicked out of the bar right after she was done talking to him.

~ Miles McPherson came into the studio today to talk about his prime time special that will be aired on Fox this weekend. It is called Master Meth and is all about crystal meth addictions. He told us about how he wants to get this on MTV and raise peoples awareness about the dark side of addictions. He said that the special is about the spiritual draining that addictions have on people. It will air on Sunday on Fox at 6 and 6:30.

The Mikey Show - 5/17/06

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ We played Mikey's Gay Pod. Today was actually not that bad for Mikey and his wicked gay pod. There were a couple of winners and he had some decent music although they was a few really gay tunes that were played but we have come to expect it from him.

~ Craig Gass was in studio today to do his hilarious Craig Gass theater. Craig does a lot of great impressions and we have him in to act out different famous movie scenes. Today Craig did the scene from Broke Back Mountain where the famous line "I wish I knew how to quit you" is dropped. Craig did the parts as Adam Sandler and Al Pacino. The other scene he did was from Empire Strikes Back where Darth Vader tells Luke that he is his father. Eddie played the role of Luke and Craig did Darth Vader as Sam Kinneson.

~ We had another very scandalous Cheaters Hotel today. This P-1 Eric wanted us to get his girl on the Cheaters Hotel because he had a few suspicions but they were nothing too serious. He said that she does not want to cuddle after sex anymore (which the guys said she sounds perfect) and he said she has been hanging out with a new friend who is the type that would watch porn. This P-1 was kind of a Nancy pants. When Mikey did the hotel thing she said his name so we figure she was not cheating until later she admitted to listening to The Mikey Show, then the seed of doubt was planted.

~ P-1 Rick or Blunder or Fish or Budweiser called into the show today. Mikey was telling the story of how he mispronounced the word misogynist and then we got into the bear story. Mikey pleaded for him to tell the story but he did not want to because of the hundreds of times he has told it on the air. They finally got him to tell it and it miraculously changed again. Every time he tells the story something changes, if you have never heard it then you got to ask him what happened.

The Mikey Show - 5/16/06

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ We played Puss Rock Juke Box today with a very broke back batch of P-1 guys today. These guys were on the money with their 80's music. One P-1 actually started singing right out of the gate, as soon as he heard the song he went for it. Sean put it appropriately when he said that guy wanted to mount another mans hamstrings.

~ Eddie told us about how this past weekend he took a trip home for Mothers Day and had a little incident as the trip started. He said he was about 10 minutes into his flight when he took out his Maxim magazine and the lady next to him asked him to put it away. She told him she was offended by the pictures in it. He started to argue with her about how its not inappropriate at all but it was only making him upset. P-1's called in to tell their similar stories, one P-1 has to now attend sexual harassment training courses for having a Maxim at work.

~ We talked to Dave Navarro on the phone today. His new side project The Panic Channel is playing in San Diego tonight at Canes. He said they are a powerful melodic rock group. He told us how he thought he might sleep through the interview today so he put an pre-emptive interview on his answering machine for when we called and if he was not awake. Then Mikey got into how he offended his wife in an interview and how Carmen hung up on him and in the middle of him telling the story Dave's phone cut out, it was really weird and awkward. Don't worry, Dave is not mad at us like we had thought though.

~ Malcolm David Kelly, who plays Walt on Lost called into the show today. As Mikey put it "it was a very fruitless interview". Malcolm could not give us any info on the show. Mikey kept trying to trick the little guy into giving up information on the show but he stayed strong. He told us that he likes hanging out with Dominique Monahan, who plays Charlie, most on the set.

~ This P-1 called into the show today saying she had a really bad problem that Sky could sympathize with. She explained that her cat that she has had for almost 10 years is really sick and needs surgery but her husband does not want to fork over the two thousand dollars for it. She did not know what to do and wanted Sky's advice. Sky asked if she had pet insurance and told her that she has a policy for each of her cats. Mikey thought that was ridiculous and also thought that there should be a limit to how much you spend on your animals. P-1's called in to tell their experiences. This one P-1 chick spent seven grand on her dog and it still died.
