Mikey Show Recap Tuesday Oct. 31, 2006

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ During open phones today this P-1 called in and sparked a pretty big controversy on the show. P-1 Greg called in and told us that for Halloween his wife was dressing up their twin boys as Raggity Anne and Andy. The guy was upset because he did not want one of his sons to have to be dressed up like a girl (in a girls costume). Mikey and Eddie agreed with the P-1 full on but Sky saw nothing wrong with it. This turned into a huge debate on whether or not you let your little boy put on make up for play time or let him wear dresses during play time. Mikey and Eddie tried to explain to Sky that if you let your little boy play make up wear a dress time and ride a pink bike, he will get his butt kicked in school and you have to save him from that harassment.

~ We scared the crap out of Ashlee today. There is a video out there of a fake car commercial where it tells you that if you watch closely, you can see a ghost caught on film following the car. At about half way through the commercial with the pleasant music and a car driving a freaky ass ghoul pops out and screams at you. IT is one of the most frightening things ever for the first time you see it. Ashlee had never seen it and Sky reported that this commercial had made the news because of the ghost sighting. 

~ Mark Borchardt from American Movie called into the show today. He made a documentary about himself trying to make a horror movie in 1999 and has done nothing since but Mikey loved the movie and wanted to talk to him. We had some trouble trying to get him on the line and spoke with his publicist on air. We found out from her that he was having trouble calling in because he is supposed to be doing a live show tonight on the G4 channel (a channel for gamers) called Night of the Living Dead live from Wisconsin. Mikey told her that she was doing a terrible job and then we finally got to talk to Mark. Mark is a whole hearted Wisconsin boy and we could tell be just talking to him for a second. He told us that on the G4 channel he will be watching Night of the Living Dead and Living commentary on it like a Mystery Science Theater kind of thing.

Mikey Show Recap Monday Oct. 30, 2006

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ Shawne Merriman called into the show today. This was his first real full interview since everything that had gone done with the testing positive for steroids. He told us that he still is not allowed to talk about it because of the appeal that is filed. Mikey asked if he played any different in yesterdays game because of what is going on and he told us that he plays ever play like it is his last because you never know when you might get hurt and be done for good. We found out that Shawne first did his celebration dance his freshman year of college and right after he did it his coach yanked him off the field.

~ Ving Rhames called into the show today. Mikey was asking Ving about Tom Cruise and if he is crazy like the media portrays him. Ving does not understand why the media focuses on such trivial things like Tom jumping up on a coach to profess his love for his lady and told Mikey something that his grandmother told him. Ving's grandmother told him that "they talked bad about Jesus, they will talk bad about you" and Mikey said that the saying will stick with him for the rest of time. We found out that the scariest movie to Ving Rhames is Marathon Man and the scene with the little old lady in it.

~ We played P-1 Pop Culture Quiz. This is the game where P-1's try to challenge Eddie and his knowledge of pop culture. Eddie went three for three going undefeated and devoured the competition (no surprise). Some of the questions involved in today's match were about canceled TV shows and the Billy Joel theme song for Bossom Buddies, also about the show that tried to rival SNL called Fridays.

~ Boo Ball last Friday was ridiculous as usual. Eddie told us today that he might be in Mikey's boat and that this past Boo Ball might be his last. He explained that he was the only one that was sober and that he was constantly running back and forth from the stage to the broadcast booth running the entire show. He said Shauna was drunk and that he did not like being the sober one when everyone around you is drunk.

~ We announced the Rock Before Christmas show today. Featuring Shine Down, Saliva, Hed P.E., Papa Roach, and a few other bands that no one on the show knew too much about. The Rock Before Christmas will be Sunday December 10th and the tickets go on sale this Saturday.

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ Gary Sinise from CSI: New York called into the show today. You might also know him as Lt. Dan from Forrest Gump. He told us about his band today called the Lt. Dan Band. He plays Bass in the band and we got to hear a little bit of them off their website (www.ltdanband.com). What we heard was them doing a Police cover which their singing sounded a lot like Sting. It's a bigger band they have 12 people and occasionally 13 when their violinist joins them. Gary talked to us a little bit about Mel Gibson. Gary explained to us that he has gotten used to being around the corpses from CSI.

~ We played a little Tone Deaf Karaoke today. Bud Weiser came into the studio today while we were playing and Mikey complimented him on his new shorn hair cut. That led him to tell us about his Halloween costume. He said he is going to be Uncle Fester and Mikey and Eddie commented that he will probably just wear a black t-shirt with jean shorts. Then Ashlee said his hair makes him look like the abominable snow man but said abdominal snow man, then Sean called him the Abdominal Slow Man.

~ We got a call from this older guy about his girlfriend. He said that he is 38 and dating a 22 year old girl. She has a myspace account and he looked at it the other day and noticed a comment from her ex on her comments that said "I miss you". The P-1 was concerned about the ex flirting with his lady via myspace and Mikey told him what everyone knew, he is flirting with his girl via myspace. We had P-1's call in to give their perspective on the whole myspace flirting that can go on and whether it is appropriate or not.

~ P-1 Marsalla came into the studio today to say hi. She came in with a dog and explained that it’s a disability dog for herself and her disability is that she has anxiety. She explained her story of a creepy pizza delivery guy that gave her anxiety and that the dog now provides her with protection. She said that her and the dog are now training to sniff out explosives, which is recommended you do NOT do if you has anxiety (makes no sense at all).

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ Cheaters Hotel made its return today. This was a wicked good one. This P-1 guy called in to tell us that he was 99 percent certain that his girlfriend was cheating on him. He explained that he wanted to reveal to the city of San Diego that his girlfriend was a cheating whore. He said that he is in the military and that all of his friends have been telling him that his lady is cheating and that the guy he thinks she is cheating on him with has been acting weird around him. We gave his lady a call and she said his name for the hotel gift basket. When he got on the line with her, she made him look like a idiot and asked him why he did not just ask her is she was cheating. P-1's were not happy with the outcome and thought that the broad actually is a P-1 and knew it was coming.

~ Mikey had his friend on the line today to talk to us about her situation. She had been dating her man for 8 years and there was no sign of marriage in sight. Her man had been married once and been through a divorce and did not want to go through that again. We talked about how long is too long to be in a relationship and not get married and then about how that is some people's thing, to not get married. P-1's called in and told us about people they know or in some cases they were the people that have been in relationships for a while and either have decided to not get married or its been avoided.

~ We played "Who Can Sean Beat Now?". Today we found out about the alliance between Sean, Eddie and Ashlee and how they call themselves "chill town". Eddie and Ashlee cheer for Sean and get him pumped up to play but it really does not work and Sean hates it.

Mikey Show Recap Tuesday October 24, 2006

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ Dr. Phil came on the show today to give out some of his home spun professional country bumpkin advice. This P-1 wrote Mikey an email explaining that his mother just broke her hip and needed some one to care for her. He explained that his father had passed and his mother only has him and his sisters around to care for her. He went on to say that he thinks his sisters are better inclined to care for his mother mostly because it will cut into his comic book writing time and bringing ladies back to his place. Dr. Phil laced into this guy. He said he remembers when he wanted to write a comic book and then he turned 13, from then on in Dr. Phil did not give much advice but rather called him gay.

~ Eddie had another problem with his sandwich today. There were not equal parts mayo to equal parts mustard, it was more like 3 parts mayo to 1 part mustard which upset Eddie horribly. Eddie likes his sandwich like he likes his sandwich (you might of heard this before) and again his lady, Debra, messed up how much of each condiment goes on the sandwich. We got Debra on the line tried to work this out. Mikey played moderator as Eddie explained to Deb how he likes his mustard and mayo when it’s a sandwich consisting of meat. Deb tried playing it off like he is not consistent with how Eddie likes his sandwich but everyone knows that he is. She can not get his PB and J sandwiches correct either and Eddie explained that she makes them the way she likes to eat them, Eddie will be making his own PB and J sandwiches from now on.

~ We played Bombed at the Beach today. In her recording style Ashlee took a tip from B. Rob and his techniques of over modulation. The people Ashlee interviewed for this were not only drunk but pretty stupid as well. One chick had no idea who Steve Irwin was never mind how he died. That same broad, when asked what congressman made inappropriate im's to a paige said that she is not good with states then continued on to answer Bill Clinton.

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ Academy Award winner Tim Robbins called into the show today. He talked to us about the movie he has coming out on Friday and how it is going up against Saw 3. He said the movie is based on a true story and is about a man that in South Africa who turns into a Activist and soldier once he is wrongfully jailed and tortured. He knows that most people will go see the horror movie this weekend and that he does not care about the numbers because people will eventually go see his movie. He told us that the accent that he has for this movie, a South Africana accent, was the hardest to do out of all the accents he has done.

~ Shawne Merriman was suspended for 4 games because of a failed steroid drug test. We talked a lot about this today and we were supposed to have Shawne on the show this morning because he is our Chargers guy that we go to every Monday morning to talk about the game played the day before. We could not get him on the line but Shawne had his publicist call us to let us know that he is not allowed to talk to any of the media because of what is going on.

~ We played P-1 Balderdash today. Today we found out that "Marta Speena" is not the name that Mikey's mom used to call him until the age of ten when someone told her that Mikey was not a girl and that it is not a woman Mexican wrestler either. Sky had a lot of trouble pronouncing some words in today's game. Also for those who did not know, Bagataway is not Irish slang used to describe a gay person.

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ Mikey and Ashlee had a huge blow out today on air. Ashlee had some new pictures of her put up on the web site without Mikey's approval. They were not just any old pictures but very suggestive pictures with a few bikini shots. Ashlee thought that Mikey had said she could put up some new pictures of herself. Mikey was not having the provocative pictures of Ashlee on his site though. He also wanted to stress to her that she needs to have accountability for what she puts out there. If she does not want people to think she is sluttish then she needs to not have pictures of her half drunk in a bikini all over the web. The duked it out on air for about 20 minutes today, Eddie had to step in when Mikey started to have a meltdown. If you missed it, it is up on the pod cast.

~ We talked about when you know the moment it is over in a relationship or the moment that you realize you are in love with the person. Rebecca called in to tell us that she knew Mikey was hers was when he told her that when he sleeps he imagines himself in a pod like the ones from the movie Alien. Mikey told us that he realized while driving on the freeway and texted Rebecca "I love you" but she only got "I you". Eddie told us that he knew when he was at a dive bar with his lady and he looked at her thinking that this is my future wife. Sky said she fell in love with ham right away, it was love at first bite. P-1's called in to give us there story as well.

~ We had the first ever Ask Mikey segment today. P-1's come to Mikey a lot for advice and finally we had a segment where P-1's could call up and get advice on the different things that are happening in there life. Mikey is extraordinarily truthful in this segment and gives the advice from his view. Today he helped a guy who was struggling with whether he should take his wife back after she had cheated on him and started using again. Another P-1 called in telling Mikey her sister was about to get out of jail and she did not know how to act and be supportive when she got out.

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ Joe Rogan came in to the studio today. He has some real strong feeling on Carlos Mencia and joke stealing. Mikey told Joe that he wanted to mend the bridge between the two and Joe was not having it. Joe explained the reason why they have not been friends for 12 years. He explained how he has seen Carlos do a Chapelle bit verbatim and that in any other profession, if you steal something from someone else its copyright infringement but in comedy the comics are not protected. We also found out that Joe will never get married. He told us that he does not want the government in his relationship and that marriage is just a legal contract. Joe will be performing tonight at the Copley Symphony Hall and he told us how he has kicked hecklers out of his stand up before because everyone is there to have a good time and they ruin it. He told us that when that has happened he buys the crown a round on him (which has come to over a thousand dollars at times).

~ B. Rob took a trip downtown for "What Ya Doin' At The Court House?". B. Rob ran into some interesting folk down at the court house like the guy who played the victim while telling B that he called his wife up and told her that "he was going to smack the sh*t out of her". Then another guy who would not give too much information to B except that it involved drugs and guns. Then another "victim" who was pissed that the cops took his gun while searching his place while having a search warrant.

~ We played Tone Deaf Karaoke today. Today was a really tough batch of songs Ashlee sung. We did not have a single P-1 figure out any of the songs. Ashlee sang some Jewel and U2.

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ Tyler Florence cam into the studio today. Mikey met him last night at his book signing and asked if he might want to come on the show. He said yes but Mikey figured that he was being a celebrity and not going to hold true to his word. Tyler is a man of his word though and came through. He talked to us about the hectic schedule he has with his 10 city book tour. He was leaving right after the interview to go to San Francisco for a day then to Maui. He told us that he will have a new restaurant in NYC in early 2007 and that when Mikey and Eddie go out to NYC for the draft they will have a hot seat at the place. Tyler also revealed to us that in one of the episodes of Food 911, he was flashed by some not so hot chick while the were filming. He said she lured him back to her bedroom and showed him the goods then they had to go back to filming, gross.

~ Mr. T called into the show today. He was the best. He told us that he is now a man of God, a born again Christian, and that he stopped wearing the gold chains because it was a sin against God to wear that while there are people that have had all of there stuff taken away in disasters like Hurricane Katrina. He told us that the T in Mr. T has two different meanings, the first is for women and children where it means tender and the other is for the bad guys where is stand for tough. He has a new show on TV Land where he goes out and motivates people. Mr. T told us that the last movie that made him cry was The Ten Commandments.

~ Oliver North called into the show today as well. He is a very decorated former combat Marine. He was involved with the Iran-Contra thing that happened back in the day (I do not know much about what ever that is). Oliver told us that the Iran-Contra Affair was where he would go out to fight Communist governments and go rescue hostages that were being tortured. He said that he has been asked to run for public office a lot but most likely will never. He spoke for a sentence on his thoughts on the U.N. and said they have been good for nothing since 1950.

~ We played Mikey's Gay Pod today. We thought is was going well when we heard some Van Halen but soon enough we heard a duet of Dottie West (GAY) with Kenny Rodgers and then Kelly Clarkson. Sean put it best when he said that music makes him want to rake his hand though some back hair.

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ We had this guy on the show today who was really ticked off at Mikey's billboard that says Mexican. The guy believed that by the billboard saying Mexican was Mikey telling the world that he wants Mexicans to listen more than other race of people. Mikey had to explain to him that there is 4 billboards with words on it each one describing something about himself. The guy wished that he would of put up American instead of Mexican. Mikey had to explain that him being Mexican makes him a little different from the other people with morning shows in the city. Mikey (along with everyone else in the world) kind of figured that this guy has his own problems with race. He told us that his wife is Hispanic so he could not be a racist but everything that came out of this guys mouth seemed pretty racist.

~ This P-1 called in today looking for advice from Mikey about his wife cheating on him. The P-1 explained that his wife wanted a break from the marriage and had someone on the side. The guy said he was done with her but wanted to hear what Mikey's input on the situation was. When Mikey found out that they are both in there early twenties, he identified that as the first problem. Mikey said that the majority of people really does not have a shot at marriage if they get married before 25 and suggested to at least wait until you are 30.

~ Chris Boyer from DSC came into the studio at the end of the show today to talk to Mikey about headphones. Mikey needs another new pair of headphones and Sky was telling him to get the wireless ones like Boyer has. Boyer told Mikey about the wedge of area that he can cover with his wireless cans, he explained that he gets reception from the john on one side of the building to the john on the other side of the building. It was a trip having Boyer on the show today, very surreal as one P-1 put it.

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ Wanda Sykes called into the show today. She told us about how she is still friends with Jane Fonda after working with her in the movie Monster In Law. Mikey thought Jane would probably be a more serious person in real life but Wanda told us that she has a real good sense of humor. We got some of Wanda's thoughts on current events and she told us that Mark Foley should not blame being a pedophile on alcohol because alcoholics do not use email they drunk dial. When we asked her about K-Fed she just responded that he is too easy and at 42 she does not care about him. She told us that she was divorced back in the 90's and will not get married again, she said you don't break into Shawshank.

~ Mr. Lights Out, Shawne Merriman called into the show today to talk to us about the ass whopping they laid on San Francisco yesterday. Shawne told us that the reason it looks like the throw back helmets come off in the game a lot is because they do. He said they only wear them once a season and they do not fit well. He said they have a lot of trouble getting them fitted correctly which leads to them coming off a lot during the game. We talked about his charity that is going down November 6th at Poway Bowl. The charity is called The Lights Out Bowl and is a celebrity bowling event.

~ Mark Fabiani came into the studio today. Mark is the special counsel for the Chargers and is one of the main guys in the Chargers getting a new stadium. He broke it down for us today and said that there has been some head way being made in the Chargers possibly moving to National City. He said the Port Commission down there said they have enough land to hold a stadium. Nothing is written in stone but its movement. He told us that whether they get something started this year or next, it is still going to take 5 to 6 years until kick off in a new stadium. He told us that Mike Aguirre has just been a thorn in the side and that he keeps inserting himself into the situation where he really should not be involved at all.

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ The return of Tyrone and Tortilla. They made there triumphant return today to turn an innocent pro-face painter into a racist. This lady who apparently does face painting professional and is an expert on it wanted to talk about Halloween coming up and get her info out there for everyone that will be applying face paint this holiday. After the interview this P-1 called in all butt hurt over the fact that TnT did that to hurt, so the guys in TnT fashion turned him into a racist.

~ Coach Kryzezwski, the Duke men's basketball coach, called into the show today. He told us about how he is good friends with Bobby Knight and that Bobby is misunderstood. He explained to us that he does not want to coach professional basketball because he likes teaching the kids too much.

~ We played some Tone Deaf Karaoke. Ashlee absolutely killed it with her song today and by that I mean she brutally murdered the songs. She sang some Bon Jovi and some Audio Slave. Mikey revealed to us during the segment that he, not knowingly, is a big Paul Simon fan.

~ Dueling O.J.'s. While in news today, Eddie and Mikey got to doing there O.j. voices. They went back and forth cracking jokes on O.J. and how he got off with double murder. Then Eddie O.J. dropped a comment a little more across the line then Mikey went. Mikey O.J. then explained how he is middle of the road O.J. and Eddie is "keeping it real" O.J. If you missed this, it will be on the pod cast today.

~ Mikey read us an email that he received from P-1 Steelers fan today. The email said that at last weeks Charger game this gentleman was taking his wife and young son to their first Steelers game because the wife is a huge Steeler fan. He said at the game his family was getting harassed and even to the point where his wife was knocked down and kicked. He said out of no where a guy in Chargers gear escorted them out of there to safety. When he was trying to leave the stadium they got blocked in by Charger fans and the harassment began again. The same guy who helped them before helped them again and when he asked what the guys name was he told him P-1 Charger fan. He wanted Mikey to thank him over the air and let everyone know that the P-1 army can go above and beyond sometimes.

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ We played some Puss Rock Juke Box today. We gave away Real Men of Comedy tickets today which was ironic because we have the P-1 men sing as queer as they can and admit they are gay. Mikey made Ashlee explain why it was ironic because we all safely bet on her not knowing the definition of irony.

~ Mikey got an email from a P-1 lady that had a problem. She wrote that her and her husband used to go to their friends board game night but because of her husbands competitiveness, they have been asked not to come back. Mikey called in Dr. Phil to take care of this one. Dr. Phil knew right away that it was actual Mr. Sky writing in as P-1 Liz wondering what to do about Sky being so competitive at board game night with her friends.

~ Today was New Releases with Sky and the guys really beat her up today. While giving some of the new CD's, Mikey wanted to know if the cd was composed of new songs or old songs. Sky had no idea and Mikey asked if she could get a small synopsis for the release when she reads the new release. Sky said that it was not possible to find that. The guys went at it with her telling her it is possible and she said that if it was then she would admit she was wrong. We found sites that proved her wrong but she still would not admit it.

~ We got a call from P-1 Andy today who told us about this first date he went on a few days ago. He told us that while at dinner, the chick got a call and did not answer the phone but made a really weird face when she looked at it. He asked to see who called and instead of a name for the number it said "do not answer". He thought that was really weird. Mikey thought that it was even weirder that on a first date he asked to see who called her. Ashlee told us that she puts that for certain numbers in her cell phone as well.

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ Mr. Lights Out Shawne Merriman called in today. Mikey told him about an endorsement idea he has for him involving any company and Shawne in full uniform getting all the workers pumped up before work. That lead into us finding out something very interesting about Shawne, he has no agent as of right now.  He told us that he has no need for one at the moment and that he will be interviewing for one soon. He said he will interview 5 guys who must pay him a fee for the interview. He told us that he has Entourage, his favorite show, on his Tivo. He also informed us that he is a part owner of the club Stingray downtown.

~ Josh Lewin stopped by the studio to talk with us for a little while today. He told us how he called the Detroit, New York game then flew into San Diego to call the Chargers game. He said that if there was going to be a game five for the Padres which would of taken place here in San Diego, the higher ups would of most likely called on him to call the game. He told us that his band will be playing the tailgate party before the Chargers game the weekend off Boo Ball.

~ We played P-1 Balderdash today and finally found a word that defines the way Sky flubs words on occasion. The word is called "zumboruck" which actually is a cannon fired from the back of a camel. Eddie in his definition said that zumboruck is a term used to describe when some one mispronounces words. Another hilarious definition was Sean's where he said that Zumborucks are a type of sun glasses that are hot in the Nigerian rap community.

~ Owen Lafave called into the show. He is the ex-husband of Debra LaFave, the teacher that had sex with her 14 year old student. He told us about his book Gorgeous Disaster that is out now. He said writing the book was therapeutic for him and that its out there to inform people of what happened and what might of caused what happened. He told us a little bit of the story and how she was raped at a young age and that when they got married he was like the parent in the relationship.

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ Dane Cook called into the show today. He is an old friend of the show and he told us that he would not of felt right not talking to us with his new movie being released today. He told us about the J. Simpson thing and kind of hinted that he never really got to hook up with her. He said that one chick he would definitely want to do a movie with is Halle Berry. We found out that his favorite food is P.F. Changs Orange Peel Chicken and that hiss favorite movies are Good Fellas and Planes, Trains, and Automobiles.

~ Mikey opened up his world to us once again this morning and really touched a lot of hearts. He told us about how on the ride in this morning he started to cry think about how he has made it thought the dark times and how wonderful his life has become. He told us he could not be happier with his son and wife and that he feels deeply for the people going through the pain and tough times in life. He played a inspiration song for the P-1's listening that might be going through something tough, the song is Tunnel by Third Rail. Miles McPherson called in to give everyone some words of hope and said that he was listening and got teary eyed hearing Mikey talk about all that.

~ We got a call from P-1 Rebecca who had just went on a first date. She told us that they had a nice dinner at Chipotle and then went back to her place to hang out and talk more. She said when they got back to her place her date used the restroom and dropped a number 2 in there. She said it was so bad she had to pretend that she was going to go to bed to get him out of there. Mikey could relate because a broad he dated did the same thing to him and he thought it was wicked disgusting.

~ Emril was on the show earlier this week and had no problem dishing out what he truly thought about everyone on the Food Network. We made the clip available to other morning shows across the country and Mojo in Detroit had Rachael Ray on his show this morning and played her the audio. Emril did not have too many nice things to say about her and she sounded really surprised to hear that he was not that big a fan of hers. This is probably going to throw off the beautiful chemistry there once was on the Food Network. Rachael said that Emril used to sing her mother happy birthday, not any more.

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ Tough Love with our boy Eddie made its magnificent return today. The first letter Eddie helped dole out his brutally honest and respectable Tough Love to was from a P-1 gentleman that had a girlfriend that kept treating him like s***t, she would break up with him to cheat and then get back with him when she wanted to. The second letter came from another P-1 guy who could not hold down a job and his boss told him he was attention starved, Eddie knew that even though this guy called himself a P-1 name, that it really was T.O. The final letter came from this P-1 whose girlfriend had an over the top gay guy best friend. The P-1 that wrote in said that his friend now where calling the best friend his boyfriend.

~ We played Tone deaf Karaoke with Ashlee. Today was a special edition where we gave out 3 Ipod Nanos to P-1's that won. Ashlee told Mikey that she had a certain line she needed to read when giving the Ipod away. Mikey was not having it and Hession the A.E. on the account ended up calling in. Mikey explained how much we love Ipod and how we endorse them so much already. He said that they should not worried and that someone needs to sick Crush-it on them.

~ R. Lee Ermey called into the show today. Mikey asked if friends called him Lee, he told us that they call him "Gunny". Mikey then called him Gunny for the rest of the interview. He told us about how he was a tech advisor, writer and actor for the movie Full Metal Jacket. He hyped up his new movie Texas Chainsaw Massacre The Beginning and said that his character in this movie, he favors more than his character in Full Metal Jacket. He said this movie is going to scare the life out of you and is better than the original, that’s why he agreed to do it.

~ We played the audio of the broadcaster for the Michigan State football team that had a breakdown after their loss this weekend. This was some of the best audio we have had in a really long time. This guy goes off the wall, almost loses his voice and screams at everyone in the football program there.  This guy said that he would rather have H.R. Puff and Stuff and Teddy Ruxpin on the staff then the guys that were already there. If you missed it, it's on the podcast section of The Mikey Show website.

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ We played "Who Can Sean Beat Now?" and it made Sean wicked uncomfortable again. Sean did well today though he killed the competition and unlike the other week Sean went undefeated. The P-1's did not have a chance as Sean called out different songs included a great old school Bobby Brown song.

~ Mikey got an email from P-1 Jared needing some advice about a situation between him and his wife. He told us that him and his wife just had a baby and that the wife was really weird about him taking the baby anywhere. She would take the baby to visit the grandparents but would not allow him to ever take the baby alone. She obviously is very uncomfortable with him having the baby on his own. We had P-1 Jared on the line and he told us that her fear was what if something happened and she could not get to him to help. Mikey said that at least he would be with a parent in the case something did go wrong. We got calls from P-1's telling us about there experiences with there kids and leaving them with the other parent.

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ Emerald Lagasse called into the show today and gave us something we did not expect. Mikey said names from the Food Network to him and wanted his first reaction to the name. While going through it when Mikey said Rachael Ray, Emerald said pass. When we dug a little deeper we got to find out about who he really does not care for. He said Rachael Ray is basic and that Sandra lee is not pretty in fact his quote was "even I could look good in make-up". We figured that because he is the top dog over there they could not fire him and Emerald confirmed that. Mikey wants him to come on every week and get his honest opinion about different people in the network, Emerald said they should call it "Chef or No Chef".

~ We had on Erica from the new season of the Bachelor, she is a socialite. This was another very interesting interview, Mikey played a clip of her talking about how lucky the bachelor was that she flew coach out to see him. Mikey then started asking her about what words pertain and do not pertain to her, she was surprisingly honest. She said that she not down to earth and not very laid back. She agreed to being snobby and a little stuck up. Ashlee went at her and was wicked catty to her. Ashlee hated the fact that she has and does nothing but her parents have money to let her be as privileged as she is.

~ Mikey read an email that he received about censoring edgy humor for your friends. The email was from this P-1 lady that sent her friend who is a Jehovah witness a spoof from youtube.com about Jehovah witnesses. The friend did not take a liking to it and has not spoke with her for about a week now. Mikey thought that you should censor the things you send to your friends, Sky and Ashlee thought that they were friends that joked and that you should be able to send friends humor like that and that people should be able to laugh at themselves as well as each other. Mikey did think that the P-1 lady should apologize.

Today on The Mikey Show…

~ Mr. Lights Out Shawne Merriman called into the show today. He talked with us briefly on yesterdays loss and that he believes that they played better than Baltimore but he guessed that they just wanted it a little bit more. Mikey asked about what he looks for in a girl. Shawne told us that he really wants a caring lady that has a great personality and is level headed. We also found out that Shawne thinks that the Chargers powder blues are the best looking uniforms in the league.

~ We played P-1 Pop Culture today. P-1's battle wits with our boy Eddie but Eddie still remains undefeated. P-1's could not hang with our boy again and all of them lost to him, one question that a P-1 failed to answer was "What is the country club in Caddy Shack called?", Eddie knew it though.

~ Mikey got an email from a P-1 who is a mother and has been having some issues with her daughter and who she has been dating. She said the guy is a couple years older then her daughter, who is 22, and that he has no job. She went on to write that her daughter had been talking about moving in with her boyfriend and the P-1 mom did not know what to do about it because she does not want that to happen. Mikey's advice was that her daughter is going to do whatever she is going to do and there really is no way of stopping her, you just have to be there for her and let her learn on her own. Eddie said she should tell her how she feels about the situation. Sky went through something similar to that with her boyfriend before she meet her husband.
